Changing Fate

Short poem reminding everyone including myself to keep thoughts on the right track in spite of challenges. And...managed to make every line end in -ate :-)

Changing Fate

Sometumes life is not so great
By your own error or by cruel fate
Denied the thing for which you wait
Someone's got you check and mate.

When troubles you can tabulate
You begin to ruminate
The more you think the more you hate
And bitter bile will percolate

While for revenge you sit and wait
Lash out at folks 'cause you're irate
Your problems will only escalate
And in your hate you suffocate.

But there is hope, it's not too late
You must not accept this fate
From Anger's prison, self-liberate
Health and happiness you should cultivate

"But it's his fault" you articulate
But it's your problem, I stipulate
If it's affecting your heart rate
Your health will only deteriorate

This monster inside, you must placate
To peace and serenity you must elevate
It's so simple, a life template
You'll find your peace when you meditate.

Meditate
Celebrate
And change your fate.
