Clear Reflections

The first poem is a little poem that stresses simplicity in living and how we are all deserving of an affable life, that it is our 'immanent right.' The second poem deals with getting back what you give, or reflect out, which basically relates to the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

To Live an Affable Life

To live airy and light
Is your immanent right

To discern freedom from strife
And embrace a pleasant life

Every moment is yours alone
No need to atone

Keep clear your sight
Toward a future that's bright

Stop the ramble
That leads to a tangle

Quiet the needless fight
And topple a dizzying height

An affable life is your birthright.

That which is reflected will return to you.

Just as a kind deed
Plants a nourishing seed
To spread and flourish
And return in quantity

A negative taunt
Is a hurtful feed
And returns to haunt
When you are most in need.

Reflection's Promise

As the bright sunny day
Casts a quiet reflection
Of earth's glorious splendor
On an unassuming pond
A reflection of beauty magnified

A gray day reflects a bleak picture
The lovely view on yesterday's pond
now gone……..........
Setting a dismal tone
The cheerless day returns
Only more of the same…….

Until ultimately, through the darkest cloud
The sun bursts through with a rainbow of bright colors
And a promise of reflection
Upon all who see…...
To mirror this vibrant glow
