Cod Tongues is a poem written about the foolish choices some individuals make when choosing what they eat. How they decide, I will never know.

Cod Tongues and Newfoundlanders
Blend like Fish N’ Brews
A favourite Newfie delicacy
Few Mainlanders ever choose
They think this scoffs disgusting
To eat what’s in a fishes mouth
There reasons are unfounded
As I will now point out

These people sit and eat a meal
Of Escargot or Snails
And eat the legs off little Frogs
Or Fish Eggs dumped in pails
Hens Eggs are a favourite
So their logic leaves some doubt
They eat what comes from a Hens asshole
But not a fishes mouth.
