In this article, I review the top college football games in week 10 that performed very well.

Top College Football Games Week 10

Here are the top NCAA football games in week 10.

No.2 Florida State at Louisville

After beating Notre Dame last week, Florida State (7-0, 4-0 ACC) got enough rest it deserved. This week on Thursday, the Seminoles will head to Louisville for one of its remaining yet most challenging road trips of the season.

Although FSU has won 23 college football games consecutively, it has only 6 points gained in the 3 games it won this season. The team got big numbers, thanks to quarterback James Winston’s efforts. Unlike in 2013, the defense of the Seminoles is allowing at least 93 yards in every game they play.

Even if FSU makes it in Louisville, their future is gloomy as they seem beatable. A team that is less manned in the ACC title game will most likely make it to the national semifinals.

No. 3 Ole Miss

Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1 SEC) hoped for a touchdown NCAA football win or petrifying goal when its senior quarterback had the ball in his hands. However, Bo Wallace got into his old yet ill-timed throws to render the Rebels undefeatable. With only 2 seconds left, Wallace threw into play a move that earned them a goal instead of forcing an overtime if he gave Gary Wunderlich, a kicker, a 47-yard field goal try.

With Wallace’s great play, Ole Miss allowed 264 yards on the ground as part of the total 406 yards the team managed after he finished 14 passes out of the 33 for the 176 yards on the interception and a TD score.

No. 5 Aurburn

What earned Auburn (6-1, 3-1 SEC) the go-ahead score and saved it from two consecutive losses after its thrilling college football home battle was Nick Marshall’s 9 yard run when it had only 11:22 to go. He did not just complete 12 passes out of 14 for a TD and 139 yards run, but scored 3 fast touchdowns as part of his 89 yard runs on the ground. The Tigers ran for a total 395 yards with Ricardo Louis accounting for a 75 yard run and Cameron Artis-Payne for a score and fast 167 yard run.

The defense of Auburn was blamed for South Carolina’s 402 yard passes by Dylan Thompson who made 5 TD passes. Although the Tigers were tied during the first half by their opponents, they knotted at 21 after halftime. Nick Marshall ran 4 yards for his team during the 3rd quarter with a TD run to see his team to the next NCAA football game.

No. 10 TCU

Trevone Boykin’s 7 touchdown passes that contributed to the team’s 785 yards earned his team, TCU (6-1, 3-1 Big 12), its best offensive results in the history of the school.
In the college football game where the Horned Frogs played against the FBS team, the former team earned the most points as Wisconsin won 83 points in 2010 from a game they played against Indiana. TCU led by 31-20 in the 2nd quarter and 61-20 in the 3rd quarter after the 57 yard TD pass scored by Ty Slanina from Boykin who completed 433 yards run on 22 passes out of the 39.

Deante’ Gray and Josh Docston’s couple of passes each and the former’s 92 yard runs took the team’s performance a notch higher. With 105 yard runs from Trevorris Johnson and Aaron green, TCU garnered 305 fast yards.

No. 15 Arizona

The Arizona State (6-1, 4-1 Pac-12) led in the first half with a 10-0 score before winning for the 3rd time, with only 3 minutes to go, after Taylor Kelley made a 7 yard touchdown pass to Gary Chambers.

Although Kelly threw 180 yards and 2 touchdowns during his 1st start after nursing foot injuries in September, his single interception won Wahington a TD as their only score in the NCAA football game. The Sun Devils intercepted Troy Williams two times to gain 285 yards against Washington’s 290 yards.

With only a minute to go, Armand Perry threw 61 yards for a TD score for the 2nd pick of the game.

No. 22 West Virginia

West Virginia (6-2, 4-1 Big 12) led by 14-0 and thanks to its defense’ good play during the 2nd half, they turned victorious. After defeating Baylor last week, the Mountaineers beat Oklahoma 2-0 within the last 38 minutes of the college football match. Dravon Henry threw 52 yards during the 4th quarter for a touchdown score.

Out of the 30 passes, Clint Trickett made 21 and threw 238 yards run; a couple of touchdown passes were made in the 1st quarter and a 79 yard score by Mario Alford. In the 4th quarter, Dreamius Smith threw a 40 yard score and Wendell Smallwood 132 fast yards.

No. 25 UCLA

Last Saturday night in Salt Lake City, with just 8 seconds remaining, UCLA (5-3, 4-2 Pac-12) let go of a 1 yard touchdown pass. Cody Kessler threw a couple of touchdown passes and 264 yard pass scores for the Trojans whereas Javorius Allen threw 101 yard run. Nelson Agholor caught 10 of the 110 yard throws while Adoree’ Jackson threw 100 yard score to win the NCAA football game.
