Crossing The Bridge

It is with great joy that I walk across the bridge into the world of sharing through literature.

When I first felt the desire to write a book, it was as if there was a prompting from within that began to occur. It is a sort of divine discontent, an urging to express something that may have meaning and purpose to someone.
In paraphrasing a verse from a Willie Nelson song:
“Well, you can't make a record if you ain't got nothing to say
You can't make a record if you ain't got nothing to say
You can't play music if you don't know nothing to play “₂
“Well, you can't write a book if you ain't got nothing to say
You can't write a book if you ain't got nothing to say
You can't write a book if you don't know nothing to write“
In writing this book, my focus and understanding, or insights have grown and sharpened. The process is the catalyst for the growth. As I was drawn to return to Emerson’s essay on Nature in the middle of creating this, knowledge was received. An understanding of the ‘seed’ of man, a theme shown forth in the movie The last of the Mohicans, the life of a being .My four dimensions of man ties into all of this and I will expand on that as we progress in our relationship through this book.
From an early age books were my friends. They provide a place of refuge, a connection with sane minds, something that was so seriously lacking in my environment. I could ‘hear the authors’ voice as I read and experienced the consciousness of the author through the reading. My unconscious assumption had been that everyone had this experience when reading. In a session with a psychologist, this information surfaced, and seemed to imply some profound insightful information to her about the nature of my workings.
It is with great joy that I walk across the bridge into the world of sharing through literature.

Crossing The Bridge

At some point on the path not too long ago, I must have crossed the bridge. I did not know when I crossed the bridge and really didn't even know when I had reached the bridge.
Understanding only came once I had moved further along the path and realized looking back that I had crossed the bridge.
It is in sharing with others that I come to the belief they are on the bridge and aware of it. During the course of dialogue and conversations it seems that we are communicating equally. But I'm the one that is really being fooled. When I am coming from a self-centered myopic focus, I lull myself into believing that they understand what it is that I'm sharing. Somehow this fills the need to feel comforted and think I am not so all alone. Desiring of understanding and companionship, to quench my thirst of loneliness, blinds me to the truth. I am communicating with myself.
The dynamics of the mind, once they are understood, can be allied with to have a more congruent experience of reality. The best definition of My Reality I have come across is that my Reality = the perceptual output of MY mind.₁

The Four Levels of Existence

The four levels of my existence that I am aware of:
Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual.
The physical beginning of what I call self, begins at the sperm and egg union.
A ‘seed’ is planted and the physical structure begins to take shape

The emotional begins to express itself strongly upon the emergence form the birth chamber, or the womb. The cries of desire, wanting, needing, attention, nourishment, warmth, touch and so on.

Next we begin to connect our neurotransmitters, forming memories and data bases of experiences that we use to form the frame of reference that becomes our universe. Much of what we consider to be "thinking" is just recall of data stored in our tissue. Our mind energy is at work helping us to relate to the world.

The spiritual comes on line with our first moment of self awareness. It is here that a kind of transference occurs, we attach to our mental thoughts and claim it as "me". As the spiritual awareness increases, at some point, usually, we became aware that our awareness is separate from the mind energy. Our thoughts are not us, we observe, the "observer" has been born, or identified.

There is the possibility that the Spiritual is actually composed of at least two parts. The soul, which is a limited perception of the spirit. And the oversoul, or super consciousness that is yet another layer, or dimension. With the possibility of unlimited expansion from here.

Now I am a fully functioning self aware being ready to participate in my own personal evolution.

Thought provoking share, Terry, thank you. We consider as at the apex of creation but we lack some of the basics of other species - most important of all is live and let live. The potency of destructive weapons mean we should graduate to a higher level of consciousness - the sooner the better. Otherwise each generation will destroy more than create till we prove that we are the most ungrateful of all creations despite being endowed with the power to do good. We all need to think of the responsibility that is given to each and sharing our thoughts will help the whole process of evolution - siva
