A draconian law suppressing freedom to post in the social networks has been annulled by the Supreme Court of India, terming the Act unconstitutional. This is a great win for democracy.

Repeal of Article 66A

I rejoice today,
for, the court has annulled
the draconian act of the crafty ones,
who wished to read only pleasantries,

criticisms they despised
filling the prisons with many,
who braved and defied the diktats,
wrote and drew what their mind decreed;

Those bold few lashed
relentlessly on the net
the capped ones squirming with rage
failing to enslave the persistent brave;

Man has been subjugated many a time,
With the fear of rod and prison terms too,
freedom today has finally won
free to think and post on the net.
