Dancing Jungle Moonlit Shades

A descriptive tale honouring my nighttime nature wanderings on the beautiful Grand Cayman Island some years back.

Peridot Sparkles in the Moonlit Glow

The sound of surf awakes me from the ebbing tides of sub-consciousness. I lay here, skin to sand, upon a lonely beach. Peridot sparkles in the moonlit glow. Hinting at the gems' cast of green tones, spread in abundance across the shore.

Digging my soles into the heavy, cool under-layers of the sand. I root myself to find the balance to stand. Rising, I stretch as if reaching out to catch the luminescence of our lunar lady within my hands.

Shades Shrouding Sleeping Jungle broadleaf and Fern

As I walk, I take in the nighttime shades shrouding sleeping jungle broadleaf and fern. Cover and bed for golden-light lovers. Uncluttered forest paths left for lunar jungle keepers of feather, fur and scale. Their eyes wide with fire, casting a celestial reflective glow, against such skyclad darkness.
I contemplate the mysteries of which they know as my bare feet kick up dirt upon paths barely trodden.

Perfumed With the Scent of Hibiscus

A gust of trade winds push forth, perfumed with the scent of Hibiscus. It catches the side of my face as it whirls past, relieving my intake of air- sodden, salty and warm. The breeze brushes through bushels of grass, as if commanding the tall blades to bow before unseen Devic forces.
Within, I too bow in respect and awe of my journey along such a spiritual, harmonic odyssey. A slip of time and space, granted communion with a land so vibrant and well.
