During my time working retail I had plenty of time to think on random subjects and stories. Here they are in poem form. Short and sweet.

This Journey

Long is the walk of waking
The path ever twisting
Realization of the shaking
The cool air lightly misting
A cry in the distance
Then gone in the next instance

Each step, the world is quaking
Why, why are we still persisting
Because this is our journey of making
Cause it will always be insisting
A cry in the distance
Then gone in the next instance...

Time

Time is slow
So much we owe
It really doesn't last
And sometimes too fast
We now start here
But soon we won't be near
Maybe time is what we should fear...

Progress

This thing some need
some get it through greed
Not caring if it makes others bleed
Still it becomes necessity
A well worked recipe
Full of tasks and steps not tiny
Never is it easy
And sometimes we fail...

The Sunset Flower

Watch as the sky changes hues
Slowly setting behind this flower
It doesn't just change from red to blues
Gradually shifting bit by bit this hour
Not all can see this spectacle
Yet nature deems that ethical
Those are blessed who choose these views
Calm and quiet but full of power
It is truly a sweet sweet miracle...

The Fuzzy Thing

Born in the dark he was
All covered in soot and fuzz
Totally harmless
And also charmless
Seeing in the night with droop eyes
Completely covered, the night his disguise
Then the moon came out
It's light making him shout
Still, he's harmless without a doubt...
