Since I have been absent from Wikinut, there have been some new people that have joined Wikinut. They just might be thinking, who is this hairy woman/man that just left a message on my page. Enquiring minds might or might not, want to know.

I'm A Nut

During my time here at Wikinut, I have witnessed many people go to the wayside but, I have cherished the time they have spent here. I have also watched as countless of other people come to find Wikinut and make it their home. I love seeing all the new people joining this site, as this can only bring us all a bit higher on the internet food chain.

I have not published much lately, as I have taken some time off, as my family and I have been through a lot over the last few years and I needed a break. I also had to reflect on if Wikinut will be a place I want to stay and continue to grow as a writer, the book is still out on that one, for the time being.

I feel no matter where this writing journey takes me, Wikinut will always be my home. I might go off to another place and spread my wings but, I will always keep one foot planted in the Wikinut garden. Wikinut has helped me in so many ways and I will always be grateful for my time spent here.

For all of those that have stuck by me, thank you for your time and patience and for those that have not, I wish you well. Do not take any pain or glee if my articles do not come back with a star, I don't. I just work harder in fixing that one article and the ones to come and by the way...

I do have a page that has never been given a star and rightly so.

ME

I am very opinionated and I have been since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Though I say I am opinionated I must also say, I have kept my mouth shut on more than a few occasions when I was irked by a article that was a actual opinion but, stated as a fact.

You see that is who I am, I believe in, what is right, is right and what is wrong, is wrong, it doesn't matter whom it may be. If you have a opinion, then fine, state it, that is your right. If it is put under the news section, then it is suppose to be factual, nothing more, nothing less.

If you have stated your opinion then I state mine afterward and it is not the same as yours, this does make me a fool or less than human. It only means I too have a opinion, the same as you have a right to your opinions, we just differ.

Just because you feel you have the righteous insight into an issue, it does not make you right or wrong, it just makes it so, you too have an opinion.

We 'do not' have the right to trample over others rights, just so we are able to express our own. When we do this, we only set it up for others to one day, come and do the same to us.

If we do not stick up for others rights and especially those we 'do not' agree with, then we rob future generations of having the freedom too 'be able' to express their 'own' beliefs. This all stems on the fact that these are non-violent causes, in any form.

To some this might seem harsh but, to be honest, I hold myself to these same high standards and I am even harder on myself than I am on anyone else.

Your Words!

One of the main things that irk me is, when the media or even freelance writers tell you part of the truth to fit their agenda and not 'all' of the truth to save face for the politican they would like to see in office. You might as well put it out from the get go that, you 'are' a liar. To tell part but not all, is a farce and nothing less.

You owe it to your readers to be honest, to the point that it might make you cringe having to write the truth, especially when it hurts the one that you support.

You hold those words in your grasp and it is up to you to decide to tell the 'whole truth' and nothing but the 'whole truth'. If you choose to write a false or (false as in) you only tell half the truth, you might get some reactions at first from your written words but, in time...

The 'whole' truth comes out and then the words you have written, mean nothing. Yet you have fooled one too many people around the world with your lies and untold truths.

It is your obligation as a writer to be honest with your readers and nothing less, period!

We 'All' Make Mistakes

I was once called out for the title I used for one of my recipe articles. I called it one thing and the person leaving the message thought I had no right calling it what I did. By the way, I never stated it as a fact...

It was a: I do not know what to really call it kind of thing but, the consistency of it falls under this category, in my mind that is.

At first I was miffed but then I thought about it and realized, maybe this person has a point. I am still not going to change the title as I still think it fits but, I have been more cautious of what I do place in the titles of my articles since that comment.

We must always remember, we 'do' have the power of the pen and we should hold that near and dear to our hearts. Those of us that write should know this more than anyone else and respect it.

At all cost!

Vote?!?!

I have been called a Sarah Palin lover, a right wing nut, so on and so on. To the shock of many, these comments have been so far off the mark, it is sickening. I have nothing against Sarah Palin, she is a woman of powerful beliefs, so be it but, as much as I agree with her on 'some' issues, I disagree with her just as much on others.

Do I lean a bit to the right, yes I do but, not that much. I am one of those voters that both sides hate. I see both sides of an issue for the most part and yes, I can compromise, for the better of our country as a whole.

This is one thing that seems to bother a lot of people, I don't know why though. I find most Americans are in the middle of the political spectrum. I find that most of us Americans are level headed, we do not belong to the ones holding each party (Republican & Democrat) hostage, we are free thinkers and we do not follow.

I do know one thing though, before I cast my vote, you can bet your bottom dollar I have done my research. I will watch all debates but, do not think I will go by what they say, heck no! I check their records. I see what actions they have done (or have 'not' done), not what comes out of their pie holes. My vote is too important to just throw away. I take voting not only as a duty but also, as an obligation of being a American citizen.

So where am I exactly on the political spectrum and whom shall I vote for, well quite frankly, it is none of your business. That's why I draw the curtain and then vote.

American!

I understand we have had bad things happen here in America and America has not always been on the right side of things in the world but, I also see Americans doing great things, daily. I can acknowledge our past wrong doings (also those I see now) and still be patriotic while doing so.

I believe in states rights and to 'make myself (this time) perfectly clear': To me it means more than just those politicians at 'our' state level and what powers they gain (or lose), it means 'we the people' of that state. I no more would tell someone in California how to vote or react to something that concerns their state, then I would take their advice concerning my state and the people of Alabama.

As far as the political parties of each state, they are a 'party' and they 'do not' represent all those that use the same letter after their name. To be brutally honest, I do not give a rats ass what any party states, I am 'my own person' and I make up my 'own mind' to fight for the causes 'I feel' are important to my family, country, state and myself.

Just because it is your fight and we both follow the 'she has it together' party, better known as the S.H.I.T party, does not mean I will agree with you. Nor does it mean I will take up arms and go into battle with you. Why do people not get this?

Taboo Issue: WHY?!?!

The dreaded illegal immigration issue, to be quite honest with you, no party wants to touch this, not really. Yes President Obama did use his pen to allow those from 18-29 ammunity but, how about the person that just turned 30, does he now get booted out?

I hear republicans screaming how we should just deport all illegals and all I can do is shake my head in disgust but, do not get me wrong, I have just as much disgust with the democratic party for their lack of doing something, when they had the opportunity to do so.

We here in America have created this issue and we have no one else to blame, our government (state & federal) have turned a blind eye on those crossing the borders illegally as long as I have been aware of this issue, about 35 years now. Businesses have been able to hire them as officials looks the other way.

We 'owe it' to those that were encouraged to believe it was okay to enter America illegally and then made their life here but, we also owe it to our fellow (legal) citizens to draw a line in the sand when it comes to just allowing illegals to hop on over the fence anytime they wish. I believe we (Americans) should be responsible for our actions and to just throw all folks out that just happen to be here illegally, is us not taking 'our responsibility' for what 'we have' allowed to happen.

I was (still am) for the 'Comprehensive immigration reform act of 2007', which was a bipartisan bill that I feel gave a bit some but, also made them have to compromise a bit on others pieces of the bill. To me it was fair and it would have ended this issue that 'both' parties play political bullshit with.

The bill never made it to President Bush's (he was going to sign it) desk, as the last cloture vote shot it all down, so now we have nothing, other than President Obama and his pen, do you people not see the wrong in this?

We have 3 branches of government and the one that each states (so called) representatives come from, are the ones to write the legislation, it is called the legislative branch. They 'are' there for a reason.

Why did President Obama not take up this same cause when he had the White house, majority in the senate and in the house of representatives for the first two years he was in office? President Obama backed this bill up (introduced by Senator Reid in 2007), why did he not just have Harry Reid (Senate Majority leader) once again bring it up, while the democrats had all the power? President Obama did promise the Latin- American community he was going to take this issue up from the onset.

'Comprehensive immigration reform act of 2007'. Bill: S 1639

For: 33-D, 12-R, 1-ID
Against: 37-R, 15-D, 1-ID
No vote: 1-D

I am just saying: Stop the damn madness!

Do Not tread on Me

As far as my religious beliefs are concerned, they are just that, my beliefs! Yes, I have been dumped on for bringing up God in a comment. I did not do it to make someone mad. I was just stating my beliefs to someone elses work. This does not mean I want to convert you, this is just what lives in my my heart and my life, daily. I do not mean to offend and it should never be taken that way.

You see, in my beliefs, I am only responsible for me. No one else can speak for me, it is between God and I. What I do here on earth is what I will be tested on. I mean, I have enough on my plate to explain to God when I stand before him on 'my' judgement day, to even start worrying about another person and what they did or did not do.

This does not mean that I am not against certain things and that I will always keep my mouth shut because, I will not. Once again, I am a opinionated person.

I am against abortion but, that is what 'I believe', if it is not what you believe, that is your right. As it is my right to say, I am against it. It works both ways. I must go by my beliefs and in 'my beliefs', it is wrong. Do I hate those that have had a abortion, no! Just do not expect me to jump up and down on the news that you have had one.

I am a woman and this is my choice and my choice is not to have an abortion nor do I want to be part of paying for one either, my right, my choice!

The Photo: Sways Me, Not!

I have been very respectful of others beliefs and I expect the same. I am not asking you to believe as I do. I just want too be able to say God and not have people freak out. Just because I say God, it should not deter you from your beliefs.

If you do not believe in God, then why would a big white cross in my front yard bother you? Does Tim Tebow make you cringe when he gets down on one knee and prays during a football game?

Put it this way, if my actions of speaking about God, Tim Tebow kneeling in prayer or my cross in 'my' yard seems to put a bee in your bonnet, thinking we are trying to convert you. Then, 'your' beliefs must not mean much in the first place, if you can be that easily swayed.

I can see the beauty in many forms of peoples spiritual beliefs from around the world. I am able to watch ceremonies, see their idols, hear about the beliefs of their higher beings word and still not be swayed from what my beliefs are and also, see the beauty in theirs.

I would never say what you believe in is hogwash (unless it is hateful/violent/demeaning in nature) as these are your beliefs and I can respect that, without believing the way you do. I also love to hear about how we differ (or not), as I am always on a (learning) path.

In the path 'I have' chosen to be the true one, I am suppose to educate myself and also question all of God's word, as he does not want us to just follow blindly.

My Greatest Triumph

I am a mother, I cherish that title and I wear it with pride. I have raised two wonderful children to be outstanding adults, that are a credit to society and themselves. I let them lead their lives but, I am always on the ready if they need me. I do not say these things out of arrogrance, these are just facts, I did do a great job and they show me that daily.

They have been wonderful kids to their step dad and I know Dan is so thankful for this. As me being their mother whom gave birth to them, you know it just fills my heart with so much pride that my two kids, have given their hearts and soul to a man that was not able to have kids of his own. Dan has never tried to overthrow their Dad, he has been fine with 'Step' being put in front of his title of Dad because, he knows it is only a name, it (really) holds no meaning. It is the actions that you do, that matter.

My relationship with my children is based on love, honesty, respect, humour and just plain and simply, liking each other. I have had the pleasure to be able to have that friend relationship with my kids for some years now, since they are now 27 and 29 years old.

This relationship did not form until they were grown and I was sure, they did not need me as that little woman sitting on their shoulders, just waiting to tell them, "Should you really be doing this?".

My daughter

I could go on and on about my daughter but, I will try to sum it all up with one (very long) paragraph. Krystal is as beautiful inside as she is on the outside. She is like her mom, as in, she has a opinion and she will happily state it. krystal has told me on so many occasions "Of course Mama, I am just like you, I am your mini me.". I just do not feel this young lady knows just how much this means to me and the joy that it resinates in my heart.

My Krystal...

Hates injustice. Will be the first one to help and the last one to leave you, when you are in need of someone. Has had just about every colour of hair known to man placed on her hair. Has a wonderful work ethic. Is very artistic. Is my political nut. Has her own ideas and she will not allow anyone to persuade her she is wrong and that includes me. Has tattoos. Against my better judgement, she loves the New York Yankees. Will not tolerate herself or others to cuss in front of her mama. Is very funny, she just cracks me up! Has never met a stranger. Turns the other cheek more than most. Will never show her scantily clad halloween costumes to her step dad. Her smile lights up the whole room. Is married to a wonderful man named Jake. Is loved by children. Is a 'huge' fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Is a lover of animals, they seek her out. Judges people by the content of their character, period. Was picked as the 'star pupil' for musical theater, during her senior year. Is just a downright interesting human being. loves to cut and dye hair and she makes a living doing it. Since the moment she came to earth and they plopped her on my belly, I just knew a angel had just arrived at earth's door step.

My Son

My son Marcus is the apple of my eye. Marcus has lovingly taken care of his grandmother aka G-ma (my ex mother in law), for at least a decade. This alone shows the love and dedication he has for those he loves. Marcus has very high standards for those that he calls friend but, if you are his friend, he will do all he can for you. Marcus is so much like me, yet like his sister, different in some ways and you know what, I like that. I did not raise humans that are puppets, they are free thinkers.

My Marcus...

Is a christian. Has tattoos. Has only raised his voice twice towards me, his mother and I deserved it both times. Loves the Notre Dame football team. Is artisitic. Has great work ethic. Is a great father. Has thought of his sister as his baby, since she was 3 weeks old, not much before then, he was jealous. Hates injustice. Judges a person by the content of their character, period. Loves halloween and crazy costumes. has changed his hair colour when he was a teen, never to do it again. Always approaches Dan and I with open arms, in public or private. Is my voice of reasoning. Is a man's man. Aced his 4 years of draft and design in high school. Was in the drumline. Loves music and writes it. Loves Animals. Lost his best friend Boo (he was 13 years old), in 2009. Designed many of his high school's logos. Is not afraid of snakes (eyeroll), thanks to his dad. Has played (mama made him LOL) Santa Claus (at age 14) for (our local troops) the girl scouts and they all screamed with joy when they saw it was him. . When he smiles with a certain grin, his eyes sparkle. Will defend those unjustly accused. Is a great rapper. Is funny, he cracks me up! Is not only handsome physically but, his inner beauty shines through. The moment he was born, I fell in love with him and it has been a priviledge to see him grow into such a fine man.

No Shame, With this Game!

My grandson Tristan, what can I say, he is just perfect. I now know what all those folks were speaking of, when they said "Grandkids are so great, you will see one day.". Well, I did and it is all they said it would be, Being a gammy, just rocks!

I find the main reason why is, you have been here before, you are more relaxed and the few mistakes you might have made along the way raising your own, you have since learned from them mistakes and will not repeat them. You have gained more confidence throughout the years, as you have also watched others kids, your nieces, nephews and like with me, you had the privilege of being a Girl Scout leader.

You have learned to stop and smell the roses, you 'do' take the time to really soak it all in because you know, just how quickly they will grow up.

My husband Dan and I have turned into those annoying type of grandparents, that just absolutely adores their grandchild and can not wait for more (hint, hint Krys and Jake) to be added to our list of grands.

We also do not apologize for any of it, we worked for this moment and we will relish in all its glory, period!

Here I Am!

Well basically this is me, my name is Denise and I am no more than just a American citizen that is owned by this gorgeous face sitting next to me, my Buggah. Even though I have laid out some serious issues in this piece, I also am quite funny and I do not 'always' take things so seriously, I actually crack myself up.

Okay, you be the judge...

Denise, This is such a great article, I do feel that I know you much more now than ever before. On opinions - I agree with you - we each have a right to believe in different things, it is a matter of perspective.

You have been missed around here, and it is a great comfort to know that you are back, and writing as powerfully as ever.

Awww Peter, thank you so much for leaving me this kind message, it really means a lot. I know we are in a election year and all but, we need to all stop (me included) and remember, we are all in this together. I am so happy to be back, it has been a crazy year. I now have a camera (once again) and let us just hope this computer hangs on until the end of the year, when I get a new one. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

I love it when I gointo wikinut and see thaty you have written an article. This one was thought provoking to say the least. You're a woman of strong opinions and a fierce independence who is not afraid to tell it like it is, and that's refreshing indeed. Keep on writing, my dear friend.

Just a great star page.

Aww my friend Steve, great seeing you. You know, I still stand by my comments I wrote to you when you first started here at Wikinut: I bet we have more things in common then we don't. I know we get in a tiff every now and then but, I am glad we do, it shows we have conviction and you just have to love that. I swear at times, you and I are just like my son and daughter, they lubs each other but, they do butt heads. If we all thought the same way, it would be a boring world. Now after saying that, if more people would just listen to me, we would be so much better off. roflmao You know I am joking, not! No really, I am joking.LOL

'My Dear Denise!' I definitely had a fair idea that you are some one different!

I am literally surpriced the way you have started the article and concluded it! You have practically given the readers a roller coasters ride! (This is my opinon! LOL!)

For a moment I had the feelng that the picture holding the pen is not holding the pen but it is holding the syringe loaded with a cocktail of hormones!
Yes, I mean it!

Your article if read carefully would definitely change the hormones of one's body for a moment!

This article undoubtedly is having that power!

I would like to repeat again as I said in the past several times,May the almighty bless you all (Your self, your husband and two proud children of yours and other pets) with the choicest blessings and wishes!

Thanks a lot for sharing such a lovely article!

My friend A.K you are too kind. You know what though, my mama always told me from the beginning, you are one of a kind and she never changed that thinking, to her last breath. What can I say.LOL
LOL yes, I had the hubby holding a huge pen he picked up at work, after a company had a promotion, I tried a smaller one and it just did not look right. I am so glad you enjoyed it. You will start to see the lighter side of me in the next few weeks, as I have already started on a dog article and a few recipes. I just thought I would put myself out there, so people can see who I am and then it is their choice to follow me or not. I am glad you are still here. I hope you know, since the day I went to your page, you and yours have been in my prayers. I wish you and yours the best life can be. You are a great addition to the Wikinut family. Oh how nice, 7 kids and all those grands, you just gotta love it, I know I would. I think we all write about what we know and we should I feel. I am fixing to go to the store to get a few ingredients, as I want to put out a recipe article and I am also working on a dog article, those are the things I am really comfortable about. Have a blast with those grands, I know I just love being a Gammy. Thank you for stopping by.:)

A lot of history and story, interestingly mixed up article with information. Thank you Denise for sharing. And I don't like to comment on religion part, as it is a difficult and sentimental issue and I feel uncomfortable too! Although I believe Jews, Christians and Muslims have got the same roots.

My dear friend, do not worry about it, that is my point in the article, this is 'my beliefs' not anyone else's, there is no reason to feel uncomfortable but, I understand. I think we do have the same roots and I celebrate them all, for others. Thank you for being honest and also, as always, thank you for stopping by.:)

I have always looked for you, Denise, and value you so much as a sincere, honest writer, stating your beliefs and opinions decisively and with conviction. I am so pleased you are back as my guiding light!

Awww my dear friend Ivyevelyn, you are a absolute doll, you always know the perfect thing to say that just makes my day a good one. You better bet it was hard putting some of this out there, I am sure I have made many mad but, this is my beliefs and quite frankly, if they don't like it, they can stuff it where the sun does not shine.LOL
I have to say you were the biggest inspiration for me to just let it all out (after a few of your articles, thank you hon, it sure was a load I have been carrying for awhile. For the last few years I have been preached at (not just here at wikinut, mind you) about how I must accept others beliefs and yet, mine are constantly knocked down and it seems okay for most, since I am a christian. I thought 'we' were suppose to respect 'all' others beliefs and as long as they are non-violent, I see no reason not to, I expect the same for me and I don't feel it is asking too much. May you have a blessed day my dear. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

You are most welcome my friend, I hope it does not make a difference, as we all have our own beliefs and for the most part, we are so much a like, no matter which path we have taken, then we are different. I wrote you a note last night and sent it to you privately. I am curious what your answer is going to be.LOL
As always, thank you for your kind words and for stopping by.:)

Wow! What hard work you put into your articles! I too am very glad that you are back in full swing. Your articles are a big inspiration to me and many others as I can see by the comments. However, may I just give you a little bit of advice if you don't mind that is?? Most of your articles are very long and from what I read on Yahoo Voices and other publishing web sites Internet articles should not be too long because most people don't like sitting at their computer to scroll down so much. Also for your own sake you could actually turn any one of your long articles into 3 average articles. Well, I hope I did not offend you. I just wanted you to know that you don't have to work so hard on one article. You see when people started writing on the Internet many publishing companies wanted long articles for the ads. In other words our articles were just wall paper for google ads. Now that Internet writing has evolved a bit the publishing companies are realizing that most articles get lost in the sea of too much content. That is why I stopped writing for a while. I am not sure it is worth the zero dollars!! I feel that my time could be better spent. If it was not that my husband wanted to quit his job it would not matter but I must look for a way to make money not just waste my time. I will continue to read articles written by my fans but I am not sure I want to put anymore articles out there in cyberspace that cannot be deleted. Also when Google finds the same article published twice they get confused, etc. , etc. Sorry for the long comment but I too am at a cross roads.

I am so sorry you are at a crossroads, as I was there just some months ago, I had to really think hard, if this is the place I wanted to be or go else where. I mean this place has gone through some changes over the last few years. A place that use to respect others beliefs and opinions. It also was a place that everyone supported each other and then it all blew up, the only thing I can think of that changed was the (new) people, as I still have the same relationship with those that have been writing here as long as I have, with a (very) few exceptions. I hear people in their messages and articles being hateful and unless we believe the way they do, then we are just mean people. Just because we are christian's we are the evil ones, it just got to be too much. I had to take the time off until I got another camera but, I was in no big hurry to do so, as I was still at my crossroads. I prayed about it for months, as I would come here and go to another's page and then see some hateful message left, especially if it was on a christian page. I almost walked away completely but if I did, then I would have failed me and more so God. God did not make us to keep our mouths shut, respectful yes but, not shut. I do not see why others can not see the very fact that all we can do is go by our own beliefs and what we find to be the truth. It just boggles my mind how saying you are christian can make the quietest atheist scream at the top of their lungs. Well after all my praying I have decided, why should I allow others the satisfaction of leaving a place I have adored for 2 years. I have learned so much as a writer since being here and I am not yet done learning. Now that I have picked which road I am going to take, I have to admit my life is more settled and I am even more determined to put out my beliefs, if they like it or not. Just keep praying hon, the answers will come.
As far as why do I put so much work into my articles, well let me just say first of all, I have written you about 4 times right here, only to delete it. I guess it is a bit harder to explain myself than even I thought it would be. I hope not to offend when I say, I put a lot into my articles because, that is whom I am, period. I believe in doing a job and doing it right. I have always been like this and I do not see myself changing. I have found that spending a little extra on one article gives me more views than if I only did it half way, that is, in time. If I take my last breath in a minute or two, I will know that I not only had taken a chance on this writing thing which is one feat all in itself, I did it with hard work, determination and passion. I see my kids doing the same thing and this is one thing I have always hounded them on and that is, when you do a job, you do it to the best of your ability, I expect no less of myself. I know it is harder for some, as I do not work outside of the home because of my physical lack of ability and no one would hire me, I never know what will bring about each day, that is the nature of the disease I live with. I hope and pray all things work out for you, only you can determine your own path but, I would like to add...
If you decide to leave, you will be dearly missed. God bless you and yours. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

Awesome article.
You said you were absent from wikinut for some time. So did I due to the visit of my grandchildren. But you made up for your absence by this long piece in which you raised so many issues. Yes, I agree with you. Nobody should make adverse comments if he doesn't agree with the subject matter. One can agree to disagree, and he should be polite. He may even present his own point of view politely.
I have noticed a couple of my readers who stopped visiting me when I disagreed with their point of view. I have been polite of course.
Thanks for sharing this article.

I am so happy you have had time to spend with your grandchildren, I did read your piece, it just warmed my heart. That was my very point, we can all 'debate' and give each other respect while doing so. How are we ever going to all get together and make this world about peace, if we never talk to the ones that do not believe 'exactly' as you do but, talk not yell. Yes, I was kind of missing, as I lost my camera in May, at my grandson's second birthday party and I got some great pictures also. You know I only use my own photos so up until now, I have just been leaving some messages and such, until I was finally able to get another camera. As I went around leaving messages I saw some awful messages being left to some, ones that just made me shake my head in disgust. Also though, I saw political articles that had very little truth to them, as they spread that ignorance to the masses, in my eyes, both are wrong. So when I did finally get to publish, this just all came out. I had people saying what (they thought) I was, so I wanted to set the record straight for 'some' just how I feel and just whom I am. I think I succeeded and to be honest, I could have gone on. GV, the only time I will blast a person is when, they are downright liars and that is what they are peddling, a lie. The others if they state it as their opinion then they can have their say but, it does not mean I will go along with them but, I hope my opinions are respectful to all, even though some might seem to zap you at first. Not you but others, that want to mislead or down out lie. My country is going to have a very important vote come November and the consequences of that vote will touch all of the world, for the most part. We do not need bogus reporting, people need to get the truth of each candidate's record, we owe it not only to our countrymen but also, to the world. Now my friend, you have always been a gentleman and nothing less, you have opinions and yet, I have never witnessed a mean word come out of your mouth. So please just ignore those that can not give you the same respect you would give them, they are not worth it! I just know you are already missing your grands, I am so sorry. As I have stated before, we are very lucky in the fact that we get our grandson Tristan three days out of the week. Tristan is now 2 years old and the other day I had to put him in time-out for the first time, I think it hurt me far more than it hurt him.LOL
You have a blessed day my friend, keep up your beliefs, they are yours and ignore those that only want to argue and not debate. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

Well written Denise. Enough said by me, everyone has beaten me to it!! I haven't written anything lately for Wikinut as my stories are tinged with humour and we are having a nightmare trying to smile these days in the U.K. but I will be back soon with a "Smile" story or maybe a L.O.L one in the near future.
All the best to you. The Bard!!

Well howdy to you DEnise from me in TEnnessee. I readll all but the last 4 subjects at the ending and were all quite entertaining, informative, and good. You are quite the writer altho' a little different than me. I want to say I like this part, "it is up to you to decide to tell the 'whole truth' and nothing but the 'whole truth'. In my own words Denise..."I hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal, endowed by thier Creator..." From the good ole' U.S. Constitution! May God bless AMERICA and keep her, protect her & our allies too! Loved your article. I'll be back to read more later. Smiles Bets :)

As usual, I am late to the party, but I had to tell you how much I enjoyed this article. For a while, it seemed like everything I read should have come with rose colored goggles, but after recovering from a small setback, I have found love and support and people who keep it real. Being from Alabama, I hope (supposing you had time to wander over and look) you would recognize a dark southern humor and a need to bring southern charm to the Wikifront in my articles. I've never met you but I feel like I know you now, and that you know me. For me, that's a great feeling. I hope it's the same for you. You just gained a new follower!

Hi Phyl, that is one thing I have never done and that is to look at life through rose coloured glasses. I have 'always' been an realist, since I was knee high to a grasshopper, it is just how I am made up. I had written this piece after I was being attacked (one too many times over the years) on my religious beliefs and also, called a liar when it came to my political beliefs. There were also people here on wikinut spreading out and out lies during the 2012 presidential race. Being me, I had to put out my opinion on the issues here for all to see. For those that did not know me (newbies) but still wanted to open their pie holes about just who they thought I was and doing so with no facts. I had to make it clear just whom they were calling a racist, a warmonger and a liar. Also, for those that have known me over the years, I wanted them to be reminded of who I am. I am honest to a fault some might say but, if honesty is suppose to be fault then I guess I am a failure. You see my friend, I am an American (proudly so tyvm) and the line of BS that was peddled through the 2012 elections just had to stop, the people spreading the lies, had to be brought out. I promise you, those that were spreading the lies, saw this article even if they didn't leave a message and I have to say some changed their ways and yet others kept on peddling the BS. That is why my last articles I had written for this site were political in nature and also why, sadly I can not write for this site... at this time. I laid out nothing but the facts and I was ostracized from most on this site. If you look on those pages you will see where I have yet to answer the messages left by some, is because they did come (after the election was over) lately (Not you, I understand you just joined) but only for one thing, if your name is placed on a page and it gets hits, then you might get clicked on by that person's readers... Those folks don't count in my eyes, nor are they due a response. I still average 100 hits a day and I do not even promote any of my articles and have not since November of last year, just imagine when I did. Once the darling of this site for a few years, as I had written about my family, dogs, recipes and even a few poems (not my thing girlLOL) but, let this Alabama woman talk politics and go against Barry & Co. and heaven forbid, I live in Alabama! I just had to be a racist (by some), and/or just a liar to say these things about this administration. Yet, I have never had anyone dispute my claims and I dare all to try to prove me a liar. That is why I had to remind the folks here that we have a responsibility to lay out the truth to our readers and nothing less, we do hold the power of the pen, when it is suppose to be non-fiction, then it must be, especially when it concerns our country. What parts in Bama do you live? I live in Phenix city, just a stone throw away from the chattahoochee river, that divides us with Columbus and Ft. Benning Georgia. I was a AF brat up until 77 (13) and then I made it to the south in 78, I have lived here since, minus a few months or so. Columbus is the longest placed I have lived but, Bama is home. We moved across the river to Bama in 2001 and I do not know why it had taken me so long, I just love it here. I just love southern humour, especially when it is a bit twisted, it just seems to fit.LOL Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my article. Have a blessed day.:)
