Social connection is a very important part of life. But in the modern busy lifestyle, most people can not extract enough time from their busy work schedule to keep a regular interaction with the society. Now the profession of content writing also demands a deep involvement at work. So you have to spend some lonely hours. Does it detach you from the society?

Content Writing and Social Connection:

Man is a social creature. Society plays a very important role in the life of everyone. If you want to live in the society, you have to live with the society. You have to keep at least a minimum connection with your neighbors. Otherwise you will become unsocial and everyone in the society will gradually be detached from you.

But the modern professional world is moving with such a rapid speed that you seldom get enough time to keep proper social connection with your neighbors. Further, in the professions where you need to work lonely for a real long period of time every day, you hardly get a chance to interact even with your family members. This is a real concern with a large number of working professionals throughout the world as it is gradually making them introvert and eccentric.

Now, the job of a content writer also requires complete concentration and involvement in work. So it is true that when you are at work, you spend some lonely hours to bring the best out of you. Even a little lack of concentration can result in low quality of production and in the long run lead to a bad patch in your reputation. So it is a valid question whether the profession of content writing also engages you in a way that you become detached from the society?

If you just look into the matter more deeply, you’ll find that it is a more serious problem than it appears to be and a wider part of the society is infected with this disease. Even a large number of people who are not engaged in any such professions lack the minimum social connection just because they don’t feel easy enough to meet people regularly. This means that first you have to find out whether you have the mind-set or willingness to lead a social life, a life that involves proper interactions with your neighbors.

Further, content writing is a profession which is generally available online, in freelance and on a part-time or full-time basis. This ensures that you don’t have to spend any time to move a long distance from home to reach the client’s office. You can work from any part of the world if you just have a computer or laptop and an internet connection. Again you can adapt your work schedule in accordance with the other engagements. It helps you keep pace with your requirements and extract enough time for keeping attachment with the society.

It’s completely up to you how you accept the profession of content writing. You can’t succeed in this industry only by involving some extra time to work. You cannot go along all day just writing content. You have to maintain top quality of work side by side. So, if you are a person who finds nothing wrong in interacting with the neighboring people, you can just make some minimum adjustments between your profession and your personal life to maintain a proper social connection.

Content writing is no different from any other form of writing and neither are the writers different from anyother writers. Many writers are introverted by nature and therefore do not seek face to face social interactions. Those of us that are extroverts or true ambiverts can have our social interaction even as writers. Writers can joing writer's groups where they can discuss their craft as well as just interact with others socially. Many of us also join other groups like Toastmaster's International. We attend other social function as well. It is really up to the individual writer just how isolated he or she allows him or herself to become as a writer.

I earn a living through writing, but I can also enjoy a social life, even if it is not very often. I have wonderful friends around me.

Yes, balance in life matters, Avik. In any working life that requires intensive concentration and long hours, family life is a factor to be reckoned with. Being in accounts and finance area, I drew strict boundaries. Working life is for my family and not the other way. I have seen many attain riches but surrounded by those who are attracted unabashedly to their wealth. I feel sad when some try to impress those who hardly care for them anyway, especially in Asian societies. They lead lonely lives later. So one needs to reflect often what is our passion in life and the sacrifices needed to attain balance in our lives - siva

Man doesn't live by bread alone as the saying goes. One needs to maintain social connections.
