Drowning Sounds

Many times we relish peace and quiet. What noises bother you. My air conditioner is too loud.
Seconds in Hell
My air conditioner too
loud and my neighbors
conversation is something
I can hear through
the thin walls.
My disposition
makes the final call.
T.v. sounds and radio blaring
Moments of silence is ever
needed.
A time for relationship sharing.
goes unheeded.
Small feelings and big
ones too are in demand
and the best are managed
with God in command.
Thunder claps and
and streaks of lightning
can be quite frightening.
Door bells and seconds
in hell are best left
behind when a quiet
time helps your mind.
Singing moments
of sound denied
with inner souls
released of pride...
Can best serve God
with sounds left
aside.

I moved out to the country a few years ago and at first I missed the city sounds, now sometimes the only sound I hear at night is coyotes.

Mark, I thought you might be a country guy... You are very intelligent. Country is great. I miss it.
