Each Of Us Is An "Inkblot"

This poem was inspired by our comical Wikinut moderator JohnnyDod in his article about "inkblot" recently published. It is much related to how we perceive things and how we come to have diagonally-opposed viewpoints...and why we do seldom, if ever, choose to disagree without being disagreeable.

I Agree To Disagree With You

To you I have a form, at most a mirage,
and so am I shaped in a design which
every one else see differently, tall to the
short, small to the tall, ugly to the pretty
and yes, handsome to the ugly, much
as I do everyone else: Like love is blind!

A point of view is many times a polarity,
designed to cause confusions, for we
are always "right" and not "wrong" each
in our own peculiar way; it's all because
appearances deceive as the constantly
round earth presenting itself as "flat."

Ah, it's what magicians in our midst do,
capitalizing to the hilt on what they dangle
before our gullible eyes, winds blowing
in mild misdirection, like moths drawn
to the light! And thus does magic, the
illusion, plays its tricks, the hoax of all.

Lucky, then, are those born without sight
because they could see the primeval in
the torch of their soul and no sun rises
on their spiritual horizon where the realm
is eternally lit. And they see all colors of
the spectrum, angels in their own temple.

See me as I see you, one and the same
the physical relativity distorts, a derelict
home to poor migrant souls and a grave
to false divergent beliefs of organic waste.
No more "good," no more "evil" preached
or invented. They are inkblots of the mind!

Wow! Great insight. Sight in and perception depends on the seer. One person can look at a pile of discarded things and only see garbage that has no use, but another could see a art of art or something functional that can be used. Same in people. A person could have a physical handicap and some might think they are useless, but what about the mind. If the mind is sharp and constantly functioning then that person is of great value. It is the most powerful tool we are born with.

So right you are! WE each see what we see... whether it is an inkblot or the face of a person... all perception is, ultimately, subjective. Well done, Buzz!

Well what more can I add, those above me have said 'most' of how I feel. I just wanted to add: Is it just the greatest thing, that we all see things in our 'own' light. Well written piece of art for the mind. As always, thank you for sharing.:)

Nice work. Don't believe in everything you hear or read. The concept of the matter can be a distorted between two minds. What I see as red may be seen as a variation of red by another.

My dear Buzz,
I haven't read the first poem, but your poem is fine. In every thing there is more than what meets the eye.

I agree with the comments Buzz . Some see a tree , while others see a beautiful piece of furniture to grace a room . All in the eye of the beholder .
bless you
