Enemy of the State

If you engage in protest or civil disobedience in America, the state will label you an enemy.

Enemy of the State

It is never too late
To accept your fate
Even at this late date.

But if you do
Know they'll come after you
And they'll chase you down
All over town
And spin you around
And throw you to the ground
And then in the pound
Where they'll take away your right
To be on the street to fight
Through the darkness of night
So that we can all be free
And greet with glee
Our freedom from fright.

We will soon turn the tide
Many will come to our side
Their crimes we'll not abide
For their crimes they'll be fried
And a new day will dawn
When the lion and the fawn
Will lay down together
And we'll have peace without measure.

It can be done
One by one
So go to the street my son
And change the paradigm
We accept the signs
Which are all around
In the air, sea and ground

Let's do it!

There are some times when being an enemy is, in all honesty and integrity, the very best thing one could possibly be ...

My computer's misbehaving and wouldn't let me in to your last two pieces. But, ah, it let me in here!
It's all scary fascism if you ask me. It scares me to death. And I'm in the UK - but we are the weak sister to your great country and we hang on your every word. What on earth is going to happen? Terrifying!

We all have a unique voice, we need to use it. Agree or disagree we must remain true to the things that we feel are true. Sad to think we could be an enemy of the state if we disagree and take a stand for what our beliefs are. Enjoyed
