Equality, and Freedom, a Right?

All men are equal but according to George Orwell, all animals are also equal but some are more equal than others

And Your Bird Can Sing

I feel a bit philosophical this today! so get this down ya

When I was young I had a Canary, she was a beautiful singer and would happily sit on her perch in her cage and sing all day, every now and again I would open her cage door, and she would fly round the room.

Never really Free

I always thought she was stretching her wings and had a little feeling of freedom, and after a while she would fly back into the cage.

Of course she was never really free as I would be very careful to make sure all the doors and windows were safely closed and in a way that made me feel sad, after she died I never kept a bird again

Are you the same?

We are all captured in our own cage and we do like to fly out and have our little bit of freedom sometimes, but most of the time we will fly back into the security of our little cage

No man is good enough to be another's master.
Here endeth the lesson

Quote by Permission

As Abraham Lincoln once said about freedom
"Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves."

And it still rings true today as it always has

Equal Rights, Equality, Equality Of Human Kind, Freedom, Man

A deep beginning to 2015 I will say. We are slaves to money in these times we are not free.

The Canary showed you the fact that when it sings it has the fame of life that shows all the voice and attraction that came through because of it. It can fly around but the world is always looking at it.
Fact JD, none of us are free, we always have to answer the One up Above for what was done.
I heard the Canary was poisoned by the wrong food grains that were fed to it. Not insinuating anything but that is the truth of death, it speaks only when spoken to but truth is seen in the reaction that comes through post that. You know your heart and why it was written and you know why I said it too. The canary lives on in Spirit with the one it loves the most and who it wants to be with. Take Care.....

We tend to sweep many inconvenient truths under the carpet and live under pretense. Gandhi said "There is a higher court than courts of justice and that is the court of conscience. It supersedes all other courts". Our conscience pricks and nudges us towards what is right. Thought provoking and apt post showing us the right way, thanks Johnnydod. Happy New Year - siva

William Blake wrote: "A robin redbreast in a cage, Sets all Heaven in a rage". I think he had a point.

Happy New Year, Johnny!

Freedom is a funny thing, but in one way or another no one or nothing, but nature are truly free, for if we were, what a mess that would be. Wishing the best of New Years to you.

Great article enjoy reading it! Yes even us human do make cages even in our own life's. We get so use of the routine that some don't even venture out to be free.
