This poem expresses the trials of love and relates them to that of a Fairytale princess

Fairytale Princess

"Rapunzel Rapunzel, let down your hair"
Like Rapunzel in the tower, my prince calls to me
But to see him means trouble for me
I hear pain in his voice saying he's missed me
My locks begin to flock down from me
I let down my hair

Snow White but with an evil seven
I ate the apple I thought from heaven
And so a spell hath befallen upon me
But I know there be a prince for me
The seven snitches have sold me out
But the kiss of my prince shall bail me out of pass-out

Deep in the slumber of a sleeping beauty
Deep in the freedom of my captivity
My dreams take me so many places
But I hunt for the want of a face amongst faces
The come of my kingdom to tear down this fortress
The kiss of he who makes me his mistress

Fairytale Princess, I call myself
Under lock and key, despite myself
I wail even as I tell my tale
My Fairytale prince to end this tale
Here in the depths of my distress
I'm not but a Fairytale princess
