Father's Day

My father was very important in my life. I like to think, that I am a lot like him. He was a creative, kind, giving man. I cherished the time that I had with him. I see him in my son, through the things my son loves to do and the way my son treats other people.

Rememebering My Father on Father's Day

I lost my father fourteen years ago. I am the youngest of seven children. I find it funny that the loss of my father did not mean as much to some as the loss of my mother did. My father was just as important but, I still had my mother. In many ways, my father shaped who I am more than, my mother did.

My father was a very giving man. He was one of those people, who did not have much but, he would give you the shirt off his back. He was a kind and gentle man. He loved children and often dressed up as Santa Claus for the church and local groups. My father was the deacon men of our church and taught Bible Study.

My father was a very creative man in many ways. He loved to draw, paint, make things out of wood (mostly toys, he would give away) and take pictures of nature. He was a photographer by trade.

Granson Like Grandfather

My Father was in the hospital room right above me, when I gave birth to my son. Much of my family beleaves my son is the reincarnation of my father. My son is so much like my father. My son was very close to my mother as well.

That is the beauty of life. When God takes someone away, he gives you someone else to love in their place.

Happy Father's Day, to all of the fathers out there. To all of the children out there, remember to spend as much time, as you can with your parents. You never know when you are going to lose them.
