Both sexes derive pleasure and don't tire looking at beauty contestants, especially in their skimpy swimwear. Appreciation, art, beauty and values are some noble objectives why tilts of this kind are held. Enjoy!

Miss World Ist runnerup 2011

Gwendolyn Ruais, the 5’-11” Philippines entry to the 61st Miss World 2011 tilt held at Earls Court, London last November 6 bagged Miss World 2011 first runner-up. The 21-year-old Filipino-French beauty from the City of Muntinlupa, Philippines Gwendolyn Ruais bested 24 other candidates. Gwendolene deserves the warmest congratulations from her countrymen and the world at large for being the highest-placed Filipina in the Miss World tilt since 1973.
Gwen is half-Filipino and half-French, and has a Business Management degree, major in Marketing in Southville Foreign University. Her hobbies include cooking, photography, volleyball, badminton and surfing. Gwendoline describes herself as confident and friendly. Gwen describes herself as a sociable, confident and friendly person. She loves communicating and getting to know different people. She is passionate and goal-oriented. When she sets her mind on a goal, she puts her heart into it; and when faced with challenges, she becomes very hard-working and ingenious. Her motto is to never give up on dreams. She believes that even when faced with what seems like an insurmountable wall; because the things that are most worth having are always the hardest to achieve.
She has a sister who is also a beauty queen, Gwennaelle Ruais, who competed in Miss Philippines Earth 2010 and she finished as Miss Philippines Fire or 3rd Runner-up.

Miss World 2011 3rd placer

Born December 30, 1991 in San Juan, Amanda Vilanova is a Puerto Rican beauty queen who was crowned Miss World Puerto Rico 2011 and represented Puerto Rico at Miss World 2011 and placed 2nd runner-up.
In 2010 she placed 1st Runner-Up in Miss Latin America 2010, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Amanda Vilanova represented Puerto Rico at the 61st Miss World 2011 pageant, which was held at London, England, UK on November 6, 2011. She finished as 2nd Runner-Up (2nd Princess) to Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela.
Vilanova has had experience in various plays as an actress. During 2010 she started acting in theater during the play Private Lives, directed by José Juan.
On April 2011 she played the role of Sister James in a Spanish translation of John Patrick Shanley's Doubt: A Parable. The play was presented on the Teatrito theater in the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus

Miss World 2011 Winner

Miss Venezuela, Ivian Lunasol Sarcos was crowned the Miss World 2011 title being the winner. The 22-year old beauty, who for 5 years trained to serve God as a nun, cupped her face with her hands and managed a winsome smile when the sounds rang announcing her as winner. Sarcos’country is noted for its patriotic citizens.
Ivian Sarcos Born July 26, 1989 in Guanare, Venezuela, Ivian Sarcos is a Venezuelan model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World 2011 on November 6, 2011 in London, United Kingdom. Sarcos is the 6th woman from Venezuela to win Miss World and the 61st Miss World in the history of the pageant.
Ivian is a Diplomacy student at the Universidad Central de Venezuela who stands 1.80 m (5'11") tall. Being an orphan at the age of 8 as her parents died, Sarcos was raised by the nuns in a convent in Cojedes. She had intended to become a nun, but she found a new passion in the world of fashion and started her career as a model. Sarcos comes from a family of 12 brothers and sisters. She is a supporter of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez
On 6 November 2011, Sarcos won the 2011 Miss World pageant held in Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, United Kingdom. She placed third runner-up during the Miss World Beach Beauty event held on October 29 and fifth-runner-up in Miss World Top Model, also held on October 29, becoming the eventual winner of Miss World 2011 on November 6. She became the sixth woman from Venezuela to capture the Miss World crown.

Crowning Miss World 2011

Alexandria Mills of the USA, 2010 winner of Miss World pageant did the crowning on Miss Venezuela Ivian Sarcos’ head. The crown was witnessed to have sparkled.
113 beauties representing 113 countries were represented in the contest with the show being witnessed by more than one billion viewers in 150 countries.
The final seven, chosen by the judges after a thorough screening were Miss England, Miss Korea, Miss Philippines, Miss Puerto Rico, Miss Scotland, Miss South Africa and Miss Venezuela.
Ordos in Mongolia, China, will be the venue for 2012 competition.
