Following Blind

Sometimes downright cynicism gets the best of me, as evidenced by this poem.

Following Blind

Take flight
Turn right
Don't question
Yesterday's election
Sit in the last section.

Leaders know
We will go
Where they say
Every day.

Just follow
Their hollow
Puffed promises
Doubting Thomases
Not allowed
Got to remain cowed
By their acts
Don't care about facts
Just step in line
All will be fine
Drink wine
Do a line
Have a drink
Don't think
Give me what's mine
Never mind
Go away
Don't stay
Come what may
We will play
You for a fool
And you'll drool
When we win the pool
And you're broke
You pitiful blokes.

Hey Steve,
Call me cynical, but I sure agree with your viewpoint:-)
Ya might have added, Pass me that joint for the dumbed down & smoked up masses.
Take care,
Tom

It all rings true. Lighthearted but a serious touch as well. Liked the short lines for impact.

All the children are, but sodish Sheep, Steve Kinsman, unless you take away their Big Screens and fast cars or the easy chicks in their bars you'll get little if any thing out of them.

They have all been to well washed or at least their little brains have been. I am not saying mind is in any better condition, I know it is not, but I do try to at different times use It once and awhile. They on the other hand are all asleep and such sound sleepers they are. Nice share.

Steve, That's funny.
Faith comes from hard times and answered prayers. My dream has come through. It was fantastic.
I will make another dream.
