This poem is about was prompted by a photo of a child and a bear; and sadly how many animals are going to extinct.

you are so different
your world so far from mine

but my fascination goes beyond
a lifetime

I want to whisper sweet nothings
of joy to you

you remain silent
but my sounds communicate

a border touched by compassion
and a longing to remain in this moment

our worlds so far apart
and yet I wish I could tell you

your exact beauty, your wildness
your heart that I will cherish

to touch you more than with my hands
my communication deeply longing

for you to know your beauty

from this moment as a child
and when I age so far into the world

I will never forget the silent longing
and the love of your difference

you are a friend to me – there is no border
we are the same

both of us innocent – me a child
and you trying to survive

I will pray for you
that you are still here

when I am old...

I love to write - I go through stages of expression - sometimes I concentrate on poetry and then other times I attempt short stories.
