Free the Child Inside

A poem that remembers everyone, not to trap their inner child. Let yourself be free, to be who you really are.

Look for the Child

Look deep down inside.
Look into your soul.
Find what makes me you whole.
Look far and wide
Find the child inside.

What’s in your heart?
Try and find that part
Of yourself, again.

Look for the child.
That once was there.
Before, the world
Made you cold.
Find the child
Before, you get to old.

Regain, the part of your soul
That made your life whole.
Find the part of you that was there
Before, the stress and mess
Of the world tore your heart apart.

What’s in your heart?
Can you still find your way there?
Or do you just stop and stare!

Have you lost the child’s heart
That you once had inside.
Do you trap the child in a cage?
Not letting yourself be free.

Do you worry?
The child will make you look silly?
Do you care too much what others think?
Do you not want to blink?
In fear that people will see you?

Let the Child Inside Break Free

Let the child inside break free.
Do not keep the child in a cage.
Let go of all of your rage.
I will gladly give you some sage.

Sage cleanses the soul.
Sage will let you be whole.
That should be everyone’s goal.

Look deep down inside
Find the child that you hide.
Let him be free.
Let the world see.
This is the way things should be.

It is not a bad thing.
The love that your inner child brings.
So let him sing.

Free the child inside.
Let him see the beauty of the world.
Stop making him hide.
Have some pride.

He is apart of who you are.
You never have to look far
To find whom you really are.

Just open your eyes.
You will see stars.
Once you free
The child inside
And, be who you were
Meant to be.
You will see.

Profound message Brendamarie and thought provoking. We come with unique ability and passion but bottle them up to conform. We should dig deeper within to keep the inner prompt evergreen so that we accomplish the mission of our birth - siva
