Friend seeker

Who is Veroazama? She joined the Wikinut community on June 13th but has not yet published a single page. She doesn’t even have a bio yet. She even has one follower. Who would follow an author who has no page to share with the community? Despite passive profile, this Veroazama is active. She has 41 nutpoints because she actively comments on the articles, probably got all her nutpoints through her comments. Watch for her comments, though. They are the same. How would I know? I got two comments in two of my articles. Maybe you have them too. Below, I posted her comment so that you would recognize her.

My advice on this sort of irrelevant comment is to delete it, now that you are able to do so. That said this user is clearly either misunderstanding or mis-using the site and mistaking it for a networking opportunity.

I have had this happen to me a few times, but usually as a DM from the user. I always figure these people are just lonely and looking to hook up with someone on the internet for a long distance romance (best case scenario) or they are looking to run a scam on you (worse case scenario). Either way, I send them a DM back informing them that this is a site for writers and not a lonely hearts club and that I'm not interested in their propositions and I tell them clearly if they DM me again my response will not be so polite or pleasant. So far all of them have taken my word for that because none have ever DMed me again.

If they place this kind of comment on one of your articles, delete it and then send them a DM similar to the one I send.

Pay scant respect to such comments and just ignore them. They will gradually slip away as they came.On the other hand, if you show even a small interest, as Jerry said you will get hooked up.In this regard, the site cannot be blamed since they have a simple process of signing up to enroll you as a member and not any other psychological device to find out who you are. Thanks for sharing.

Spammers, they're everywhere I'm afraid. I'm new here but have had a blog for a decade and I've read everything, from a Nubian prince looking for love to the latin girl wanting to help me trough my bank account ... I just ignore those comments/messages or delete 'em.

You're right, Nadia, they really shouldn't deserve much of our attention.
