GOD Created This Mess

This poem is questioning GOD's purpose and reasoning behind letting us make choices that are often disastrous.

GOD Created This Mess

GOD created ALL things, so then HE had to have created this mess
We picking and choosing between evil and blessed
Whether to wolfishly pursue or sheepishly digress
From the choices that face us, nevertheless

Why did HE give us a method to choose
From yielding unselfish love or knowingly abuse
Why even tempt or test us with that damn tree?
Knowing this is how we would end up to be

So much confusion, wretched delusion
Deciding this and rejecting that
GOD'S mind of reasoning impossible to extract
Yet we're woefully left to our own selfish devices
I would rather be a mindless servant than deal with the anguishing crisis

GOD created this mess when HE let us decide what was best
Knowing that the animus in us all would fail and fall
His plan of redemption suited for us all
But therein lies the conundrum of heeding the call

GOD why did YOU create this mess?
For me YOUR return isn't fast enough or is it jest
A fantasy of all minds for all times how can we know?
One thing's for sho' this festering pestering mess is about to blow

Blessed, Choices, Evil

I am in love with words. In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with GOD and the WORD is GOD.

Fundamentally succinct.
