Lesson 1: God's Plan of Salvation. This series will explore God's Holy Word and all scriptures are from the King James version unless otherwise noted.

God Loves You

Have you ever felt alone and unloved? Everyone has, but the Bible says that isn't true.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

This one verse not only tells us that God loves us, but it shows how much He loved us by His actions. How many of us would give our only child to die a horrible death for someone else?

The "Catch"

"But what's the catch?" you ask. "How much is this going to cost?"

The only "catch," as you put it, is to accept the gift of eternal life.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

God is not a dictator. He allows you the freedom to choose where you spend eternity.

"I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3

These two verses go hand in hand. Why would you call upon the Lord if you had no intention of repenting?

How many times have you told someone what they wanted to hear? Things like, "I agree," "That looks nice," or "I'll take care of that right away." You might get away with that with man, but God knows your heart. He knows if you're just doing lip service.

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:31

Follow Through

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9

Okay, you know God loves you, you confess your sins, and you believe, truly believe, on the Lord Jesus Christ, so what is this "confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus?" Look at it this way. You're on your honeymoon and run into some old friends. Would you introduce your spouse as your date or lover? Or would you "confess" you were now married? If you won't acknowledge Christ in public, He won't acknowledge you before the Father.

"But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:" John 1:12

Excellent Annie, I agree 100% with your message today, confessing the Lord Jesus is the most important thing we ever can do. You are a blessing....
