It is obvious that our very lives are being shaped by a few of those in Washington who continue to encourage corporate lobbyists into every decision making process in Washington

The Indignity of The State of The Union

In the dawning of a new day over our corporate hostage held country, no sooner do we finish licking our wounds from the thrashing dished out to us by the Congress, the President and all those who stand to lose big money if they didn't get their way in the long debate over a manufactured financial crises. Now we also get dealt another blow in the loss of 30 fine men in uniform. Right that they were proud to be doing what every patriotic soldier is doing but they were also puns thrown into a mix that they would likely never know about. Unaware they were also working for those that are set to gain untold riches from their service with sacrifice that no one wanted to accept, at least not for profit. These men and women signed up to "defend" our country, possibly unaware that the invisible greed masters would use them for their financial gain. This may be a provocative statement, and rage may swell out of the bosoms of many who have family serving in the military as have I, but someone has to say it, and say it again and again. How much more hideous can this picture become? We need to feel so infuriated that we will no longer be content with sitting in front of the television watching the lies, the distraction, the pretty faces and perfect storms which media feeds us every day while our country continues on a downward spiral to hell. In this country today, hard work counts for very little except to a select few and the greedsters are getting rewarded in compounded mode.

On the Fall of the Triple AAA Rating
I hear the banks are meeting to decide what they should do in this crises which has been brought on by them, both the Repubs and Dems and our President, according to the plan. Need I tell you that these CEO bankers are not the least bit surprised? This IS a manufactured crises! They are fully aware what they are going to do, they are following instructions from the top, those who really run the country, just like Obama and the Congress also have to follow "the plan." These are mere puppets placed in their neat little congressional seats to serve the shadow government. Believe it or not it means nothing, because the plan will proceed unabated. "Lay politics aside and work together?" Not likely, because that would mean they would have to drop the disguises and the truth would be revealed. That can't happen. The drama must continue for the sake of distracting and intimidating the masses.
We have shouted in unison what our wishes are but to no avail. Stop tax breaks for the extreme wealthy, everyone including big corportions need to sacrifice in order to get us out of this mess. We have repeated it over and over, poll after poll shows what the American people want..............; and yet, it falls on deaf ears. Instead the Republicans continued their charade along with the Democrats and the President pushing the corporate agenda. Yet the President continues to bellow his lies how the wealthy "must share in the sacrifice." In my opinion they all knew what the outcome would be but they had to make it look like a duel to the death. That is how they keep us believing that we matter in the decision process. They want us to feel like we are important. In reality we no longer have a voice in our government. That is the plan and the result is yet to be realized by many, but for those who pay attention, we already know where this country is headed.
Super Congress?
I do a double take at the lengths Washington will go in order to dis-empower the voices of the people. Take the "Super Committee ," made up of select congress members, most of which are far right Teaparty sympathizers. This power source on steroids has just risen out of the ashes left over from the pitiful mess created during the debt ceiling debate. Such a catastrophic death trap for our economy was put in place to "make sure" we reach the necessary 1 trillion more cuts by November. The American people are still trembling with "shock and awe," not to mention anger at the ridiculous behavior exhibited by the Teaparty and far right and the tactics used in order to have it their way. It is nothing, however, when you consider the power this new "super committee" has been given. They can do whatever they want with no opposition whatsoever, they don't answer to anyone and lobbyists have free and open access to them. They have signed a pledge that holds them to keep the tax cuts for the super rich and corporations, which will definitely mean the middle class and poor of America will bear the brunt of that lost revenue. This "super committee" has received millions from special interests in past campaigns, from pharma, defense contractors, labor unions etc. Senator Kerry has also been a beneficiary of special interest donations at large. It has to be illegal to bring a committee with preconceived loyalties like these have, and give them unbridled power, placing them in a position where they can dictate our future and ultimately the future of other countries. The possibilities are endless and not in the favor of the masses, just use your imagination. This is a nightmare strategy of historic proportions. This is a blatant move to silence us and possibly, gradually move us into a new era of "empire politics." Now if you don't consider that terrorism, then I don't know if you understand the word.

Obama Could Have Saved Us From This Economic Downward Spiral
If you recall that in 2010 Obama had an opportunity to end tax cuts for the rich but instead he extended them and threw in the defunding of Social Security by bringing in a "payroll tax break Holiday." Republicans could hardly believe it, for decades they had tried to defund Social Security and Obama did it without even being asked and what's worse, without opposition from his own party! What a cushy little bunch they are.

A Little Something For the Rich
Take a listen to this; Hedge Fund managers make $880 million per year and are taxed at most 15% while American workers are taxed at 25%. The tax is deferred if their money is kept in the fund and they only pay taxes when they cash out. They never cash out; how do they make money? They borrow against the interest at a ridiculous low rate of 2% currently. Consider this, the median personal wealth for members of congress grew to $911,510 in 2009 up from $785,515 in 2008. According to "Center for Responsive Politics," overall, members of congress saw their personal wealth grow by more then 16% during the worst economic downturn int he U.S. of America since the great depression. (http://iplextra.indiatimes.com/quote/0csngHK7h1mW?q=Top+News).
Previous study shows U/S Senators trade common stock with inside information to a high degree compared to ordinary investors and even corporate insiders. Apply the same methods to test for the abnormal returns from the common stock investments of members of the House of Representatives. We measure abnormal returns for more then 16,000 common stock transactions made by approximately 300 House delegates, 1985-2005, consistent with the study of Senatorial trading activity; we find stocks purchased by Representatives also earn significant positive abnormal returns. There are laws against this kind of corruption right? Apparently our congress is immune. We need to confront this kind of profiteering on the backs of those who are being shafted in this game.
This saga will continue until the sheep come out of their sleep and get a few good men to lead who will not cave in to corporate pressure, who will not accept payment for their place in the pockets of the rich. We need someone with backbone and when we find him we need to stand by him and protect him from those who will be threatened by his presence in government.

Chinua Achebe's "Things fall apart"
The hungry sheep look up, and are not fed,
But swoln with wind and the rank mist they draw,
Rot inwardly, and foul contagion spread .."
"TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? "

Indeed in the midst of so much corruption, the Center cannot hold much longer.
