This haiku explains some of the feelings a person might feel when dealing with solitude.

The feelings

These are just some of the feelings that solitude may bring. Solitude is sometimes a virtue, but sometimes it can bring pain, due to the isolation and emptiness because a lack of human companionship. We all need human companionship to be happy and healthy. Depending on the person, not so much of it is needed or it is needed frequently.

Where is your comfort zone of solitude? Do you need to be around people often to be happy, or do you only require human contact less often?

Haiku

Solitude will bring
Isolation full of pain
Fear of loneliness

Djbrat, when one is at peace with oneself, then solitude is a friendly place or state which one wishes to continue in his or her experience..

Many times people do not wish to be by themselves because they are not happy nor at peace with themselves and therefore do not wish to contemplate their soul's journey in a state of what they will term as isolation.

Solitude offers time to reflect on many things in one's life. Solitude can provide total concentration for reading a book. Without solitude, my life would be too much like a mad soap opera. I value my solitude and will always find time to be alone.
