Happy Birthday a poem humourously depicting the effects of age

Happy Birthday

Another year has ended
and a new ones just begun
but when you reach a certain age
Birthdays aren't much fun

So let this be a lesson
for no matter what you do
its been proved without a doubt
God has a sense of humour too

The wrinkles on your face are deep
and bags beneath your eyes
flabby skin hangs from your arms
but that is no surprise

With dimming eyes and graying hair
you look an awful sight
and if I look any closer now
you'll sleep alone tonight

You put your false teeth in a glass
to soak there overnight
and pop your glass eye in a bowl
where it stares at me all night

You close your eyes and go to sleep
and do you ever snore
in the morning when you wake
you find me on the floor

When your next Birthday rolls around
how ugly will you be?
with any luck we'll be divorced
and I won't have to see

Now honey I'm just kidding
I don't mean a thing I say
So pucker up those slobbery lips
and kiss me right away

Happy Birthday

Night creatures crawl as you dance alone in your grave.

Darkness falls across the land,
Midnight hour is close at hand.
Creatures crawl in search of Blood,
To Terrorise the neighbourhood.

Happy Halloween which is close too... :-)
