Hillary! For President?!

The numerous reasons why Hillary Clinton should not be elected President of the United States.

Don't vote for Hillary!

Hillary Clinton has announced her intention of running for President of the United States. Unlike Obama's first run in 2008 here we are dealing with a known quantity. But, like Obama's second run where we had a known quantity she just might get elected anyway. So, be forewarned and don't vote for Hillary! I site Hillary Clinton's past history.

Fired from the Watergate investigation

As a 27-year-old working on the Watergate investigation in the 70s she was "fired" from her position for being a "liar" and "unethical." The claims may be false but, for some reason she was fired anyway.

The Whitewater scandal

There were investigations into Bill, Hillary and their associates Jim and Susan McDougal in the Whitewater Development Corporation. This was a failed business venture in the 70s and 80s.
During the 1992 presidential campaign and throughout her time as First Lady the Clintons had lost their investments in the Whitewater Development Corporation. At the same time Jim and Susan McDougal were improperly subsidizing Whitewater losses. Madison Guarantee, which they operated had the Rose law firm representing them. Hillary worked for the Rose law firm, giving rise to a possible conflict of interest. Hillary's legal billing records were subpoenaed. She said she didn't know where they were. They were eventually found in the First Lady's White House Book Room after a two-year search. They were finally delivered in 1996.

Travelgate

on 01/26/1996 she became the first First Lady to be subpoenaed to testify before a Federal grand jury. She used the phrase, "I can't recall" several times. A conveniently bad memory.
Travel gate is another black mark on her record. It concerns the firing of the White House travel office staff. She was accused of using audited financial irregularities as an excuse to replace the staff with friends from Arkansas. She skirted away with her "false statements" because of insufficient evidence.
Hillary ordered the removal of potentially damaging files, (related to Whitewater and other matters), from Vince Foster's office. Coincidentally, this was the night of his suicide!

The Lewinsky conspiracy

In 78 and 79 she made spectacular profits from cattle futures trading. This wasn't revealed until 1994. She turned a $1000 investment into $100,000. My savings account should have such an interest rate.
When the Lewinsky scandal surfaced Hillary called it a vast right wing conspiracy rather than any wrongdoing by her husband. She later admitted that Bill had misled her. Obviously Bill doesn't respect her. Why should we? Can anyone say Jennifer Flowers?
In repeated campaign statements she said that she was under hostile fire from snipers during a 1996 visit to US troops at the Tuzla airbase in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She admitted later that this was not true.

The Benghazi debacle

on 9/11 2012 four Americans including the US ambassador were killed in a terrorist attack in Benghazi. It was later revealed that requests for more guards and safety upgrades were ignored. This was her responsibility as Secretary of State. Her response later was, "With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of the protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they'd go kill some Americans. What difference at this point does it make?" What a coldhearted bitch!

Stick to baking cookies!

Hillary is bought and paid for. Her and Bill's Clinton Foundation has accepted money from foreign countries while she was Secretary of State. It's called influence peddling and insider access. She claims to be all for women's rights while accepting donations from countries who trample on women's rights. Now we have her e-mail scandal! Her arrogance knows no bounds!
There are other glaring mistakes on her part, too many to list here.
Hillary is one smart cookie! But, don't vote for Hillary! I wish she'd just be satisfied with baking cookies. She may even be good at that and it's the only thing that could keep her out of trouble.

Presumably the next Presidential campaign will be like all the others in recent history - a litany of negative statements that both sides will use to denigrate each others' candidates.

No doubt there will be terrible accusations flung in all directions and very little said in praise of anyone. It will all boil down to who the American people think is the least worst person to take the job!

Hillary would be a disaster as president. She is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wall Street banksters. She's no liberal. She's a war hawk as well. Problem is, the Republican candidates are all a bunch of Tea Party crazies. I dearly hope Bernie Sanders runs. He tells it like it is.

Who's Bernie Sanders?
So far, none of the Republican's running do a thing for me. Scott Walker seems the best unannounced so far. I'd vote for Donald Trump too.

I was reading today that the money being raised for the campaign by all the candidates combined will exceed $5 billion!

Much of this will be contributed by America's super-rich - namely the richest 0.01 %. As a result, the ultra rich will buy the Presidency and will expect the winner to dance to their tune.

In what way does this count as Democracy?

The British method has much to recommend it - strict limits on what can be spent, no buying of air-time, and all done and dusted within six weeks (three of which have already elapsed)!
