His Chase After Lust

Sometimes people just don’t understand what they have until it is too late. So for those individuals you cannot protect them from pain as much as you try, you must let them go and hope for the best for them. The painting above is to represent the pain from the lover’s eyes and the lust that covers his eyes. The snake is a depiction of his deception to chase after her and consume her innocence. When I painted this I did not quite grasp the meaning until later on.

His Chase After Lust

I close my eyes
Your laughter covers the sound
Your smile brightens my mind
I clench on to your hands and run on
Unable to let go even through the leaps

I miss you so much
How hard was it to just trust
I wanted nothing more than your happiest touch
But all you wanted was to thrust and chase after lust

While holding her ice cold hands
And watching her smile at your dollars strands
Are you happy my love?
Have you found your bliss in your stomachs chase?

I wonder aimlessly
From one wall to the other
And you watch your times parish
As you age and chase
Your long lost fever of lust
My forgotten lover
