Honouring Sylvia Plath

I learned about Sylvia Plath when I visited Budapest. She enthralls me with her words and I am now watching a movie starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Daniel Craig about this incredible woman... here is a piece I write honouring her and her suicidal tendencies. The video is very dark in content....

Loss

The moon shifts in the darkling sky what message does it have for me I keep on questioning. it seems so very long ago he left me for another face another cleft between her legs.
Not enough was I for him his lust for others grew and grew just as I always knew it would.
His wondering eye roamed here and there alighting on a body bare or face of interest for him. It was that way.

Here I sit in solemn gloom unable to find the answer.
It seems as if my karma is to always lose the ones I love
At least I think I do.
Never meant was I to be together with another clear as a bell is this to me
I am a force to be reckoned with a mercurial spirit never contained
A shifting song with verses unreadable and not heard for long.

The darkness hides everything from the light I cannot see
No way through is there for me to escape.
The threatening skies look down and see my heartbreak.

Unhealed wound

You mock me you with your blood red nails
and painted lips
You call me names and hit on me
My most vulnerable places you reach

No-one would ever realize you are a man
A strutting popinjay
Filled with idle dreams
That never can bear fruit or be fulfilled

Your bitterness is like an ugly wound
Seeping yellow viscosity and purple all around
Never healed can it be your anger prevents such happening

Away away and tout your horn
In other places but not near me I throw you out
Into the pits of hell go go

Deadness

Coldness deadens all around me nothing is going on
Feelings like small animals nibbling my feet my fingers
My hair hangs in tatters as if cut by vicious knives
The yellow haired man sneeks along the pathway looking for victims to kill
Or maim or fuck under the sleazy skies that fall in orange rain
Obliterating all in sight

Thanks Carolina for sharing this thought provoking piece on a talented life that was so cruelly cut short before her prime - siva
