What visions and stories we have in our dreams, whether awake or asleep! Wonderful!

Hopeful Dreams (Sonnet)

Oh, the dreams I have in my nights,
Wonders and joys that I have seen,
Of places, loves that should have been,
They bring such tales across the night;

Fables, myths, legends on grand scale,
Tales only harpers tell ’round fires,
Of lost, star-crossed lovers desires,
Hopeless, tried each time without fail;

Hopeful desire they go on and on,
Racing towards the best thing e’er,

Trying to embrace the free fawn,
Thinking that they are so clever,

Never seeing the hope is gone,
But, still, hoping, they endeavor.
