How many Wikinut articles does a person need to write in order to make $10 a month? How many pages does a person have to have to earn $100 a month. Can I make $10 a month on Wikinut? How much can I make per article on Wikinut?

Does Wikinut Pay?

Currently Wikinut is a website where contributors are paid for the views on their pages. I have been paid on time consistently except for one month in which the payment was a week late. Wikinut pays writers via paypal and you must accept the payment or it reverts to them a month later.

Wikinut's rate of pay per view is somewhat low. This has been the unfortunate result of some articles getting through moderation that should have been rejected (poor grammar, plagiarism, using bots to generate more views, and so forth). Unlike some sites where people have been owed money and have not been paid, Wikinut does pay!

How Many Articles Do I Need to Write So I Can Earn $10 A Month?

The answer to this depends on many things, the answer could be 1000 articles, or it could be just one!

Some time ago, on a different website, I plugged away submitting an article or two every day, and was earning pennies. Then suddenly one article went viral. It got over 100,000 views in just a few days. My earnings shot through the roof, it was great. As such in some cases it is possible for one article to earn significantly more than others.

Interestingly I noted that after that article went viral other people wrote about the same topic (which previously had been untapped) and some of those early articles also went viral, but later so many people covered the same topic, that high earnings soon dissipated for all. As such you need to be the first, or maybe second, person to write about a new topic.

You also need to promote your article to generate views. False views (from bots and so forth) will not count as paying views, and people have been removed from Wikinut for cheating in this way.

You can post your articles on Facebook, or tsu, to generate more views, posting on Twitter, is also a good idea. If you are very lucky your article does well without any such promotions.

A Few Good Articles Will Make More Than Lots of Crappy Ones

If you write a bunch of crappy articles you should not expect to see your bank grow quickly. You may get a few views early on, but eventually people will not be interested in reading anything you wrote, nor will they share what you have written, and even search engines will turn a blind eye to poorly written articles.

As such there is really no set answer as to how many articles you need to write daily in order to make $10 a month here. I know it can be done, and suggest writing at least 3 a week, and promoting them, but only promote your very best articles; the ones you feel others are most likely to share.

Tips to Improve Earning on Wkinut

Have a good title, if your article is informative the title should be something a person might type into a search engine if they were looking for that information, but should also be a title that is not duplicated 100 times on the internet already.

Read other people's Wikinut articles, leave comments, and share the articles you really enjoy.

Use Links to 2-5 of your other related Wikinut articles to help get views on them too.

Do not cheat, do not rewrite other people's articles, search engines would be more likely to show the original anyhow, not your spun version.

If you do not have time to write then spend 5 minutes promoting your articles, or making comments on other people's articles in hopes they return the favor.

I agree with you, but the fact is that if a site publishes crappy items, the whole site suffers. If I go to the "Star" page and read one piece of garbage that shouldn't be there, I'm not going to read another making the assumption the whole site is full of garbage.

Yeah, I wish I had time to submit more stuff, and time to read what others are writing.
It's a lame excuse, I know, but time is an issue for me.
I do appreciate that you didn't mislead. Thank you.

I also think on these lines thanks Mark, but common sense is not that common!

I am one who enjoys the journey and accepts the destination wherever, whenever. I post once a week and, do I comment on others' posts? you bet! siva

I wish I could express myself better. I like to share my views which at times seem to be very different. That is the main reason I come to these sites. Who knows another person may be prompted to refine the thought or come up with another out of box solution. :) I guess it will take me ages to come up with 1000 articles. And none of my articles will go viral either. But you opined on one of my posts, and that meant a great deal to me. I felt my thinking was understood by at least one person. That feels nice. :)

I would welcome the opportunity to help other people to revise their articles so that they ended up in good English and obeyed all the rules. That way, everyone would benefit - especially Wikinut in general.

A system would need to be devised so that a "reviser" gained some sort of reward for their efforts.

John, YES! I wish more people would look at their older articles and EDIT them to improve them, when people do it is very possible for them to earn a Star and for sure they will increase their views as the article will be better!

Will that not increase the workload of moderators and reduce the posts published each day? May be our edited portion could be highlighted so that moderators do not have to read through the entire post. Sometimes my posts are really long. :(

I have found most of the articles which have been approved here to be of a fair standard, there are always exceptions to every rule though, i think Wikinut is different in terns of the level of commendable quality of articles, the moderators are doing a brilliant job, kudos to all.

Mark, writing for the love of writing generates viewership. I never said it but I love writing buy your wikinut enemies from back then have hurt me a lot although I took it as a learning experience and made this discovery:
With correct attitude, love for what you, ingenuity for creativity within fair means and love for your fans can make one or two articles score you £10 providing the stats which generate the income are not artificially kept down. That is done if it is programmed from behind the scenes.
I had one article, which upon correct promotion generated over 67000 views but it's not here on wikinut, I never came back to write again after what Sam did to me on wikinut.
None the less, tell sam to give the breakdown of how many views make a penny and make him incorporate it when he isn't too busy popping out babies wherever he is.
You were the best moderator on wikinut and I loved the advice you gave me. Thank you.
Btw, keep tabs on LoverMe he isn't who he is and has caused a lot of pain and I forgive all who colluded back then and some till date.
You are the greatest Mark, thank you.

Thanks Lady A. There is no set payment amount per view, I know some short views dont make anything.

Is there ever going to be a time when Wikinut will be able to make more money again? I know things like google panda cleaned up the internet but some sites I see are bouncing back.

I have seen that to get good earnings, one ought to write at least twice a week. Commenting on others' articles does helps. Of late, I have seen some benefit using Tsu, but have not been able to quantify it.
Google+ and twitter though do not seem to benefit much. I have even tried sharing others' articles here through Google+, Twitter and Tsu.

I know that when I use Twitter I get much higher page views (3000 + a day) and earnings (around 10 to 20 pence a day) than when I do not. Mind you, having 17.7K followers helps!

I too dream of $10 a month and my peak readership went above 2000 just once or twice during my active period.
Now, I dream of making my dream come true. It is a nice way to spend time.

Thanks for the update. I would be happy with $20.00 per month. I had almost 4,000,000 clicks at Yahoo, and I typically received $100.00 per month.

From what i can tell, every 200 registered views equals 1 cent. i do no active promotion and average about 1 view per article per day. My best paying article is my first and was written more as an experiment. Personally i think that wikinut could be modified to improve viewings by improving the search and allowing people to see every article you have written. Things that are dependent on Chief Nut...

Legend, I don 't think there's any rule about this - the more views you get the more income you will generate, but there is no direct mathematical link that I can discover from looking at my stats.

Well, we all know that being paid on wikinut is past tense. Which site is paying writers fairly? Please share.
