The third tale of hum, drum and muffle, this time going shopping for their goods and one of them turns into a hero.

Hum, Drum and Muffle -- A Hero

One day the trio went into town to do their weekly shopping. Hum as usual was humming a happy tune, Muffle was listening quietly in the background, and Drum just for a change was tapping on his drum very lightly and making a nice beat for Hum to hum to.

As they walked down the high street they noticed a crowd of people outside one of the superstores.
When they got to the store they saw a very young girl hanging on to a window ledge about three floors up, she was screaming and shouting for help, but everyone just stood and stared.

A Hero was Born

Then all of a sudden the young girl lost her grip and was starting to fall down to the ground. In an instant Drum was underneath her, he put his drum on the floor and the girl landed on the drum. She bounced a couple of times, then she was safe.
Everybody applauded Drum and proclaimed him a hero.

A Party

The trio went home and had a party, Hum, hummed real good, Muffle sang some words, and Drum was allowed to bang loudly on his drum because he was a hero.

" Hum,Muffle and Drum,
Had a party with some fun,
All the noises were allowed,
To make music really loud !
