Being an adult means accepting who you really are, the good and the not so good. Admitting imperfection is good for the soul.

Love Is Worth Growing For

I confess - I agree
I confess - for mercy
I confess - to breathe
I confess - to sleep

Down by the river
That runs to the sea
I fell in love with someone
Who didn't love me

I thought that it was good
I thought it was a choice
Never knowing that heartache
Is all I had bought

I confess - for reality
I confess - to believe
I confess - for me
I confess - to let him go and to find me

He's gone now

So, I let him go and I am so glad that I did. He called me the other day, speaking about the past. I just shake my head...it is over between us...if I took him back, there would be no love there. If he married me there would be no love there. Could he handle that? Taking care of someone who didn't love him? I did didn't I?

It is said that if you love someone let them go if they were yours they will come back, if they don't they never were. However, what if the one that is "yours" you no longer want. What about that?

The pledge

I made a pledge to myself, a covenant. I am a human. I am not animal. I have more than instinct and I have access to the UNIVERSAL CREATOR. As this is true, I made a promise to myself:

From this moment on I will live my God-Given Purpose
From this moment on I will be confident and secure in that purpose
From this moment on I will not bury myself in others
From this moment on I am a complete, whole person
From this moment on I will accept my success
From this moment on I will accept my love
From this moment on I will accept my gratitude
From this moment on I will accept people like me
From this moment on I will not judge myself or others
From this moment on I will honor my journey and my life
From this moment on I pledge allegiance to my life and my liberty
From this moment on I will not allow the ignorance of others to hurt me
From this moment on I refuse to be responsible for the ignorance of others towards me
From this moment on I accept that I am completely equipped for my success and happiness
From this moment on I no longer sacrifice myself and my happiness for any other person, place or thing.
All this I solemnly swear before the UNIVERSAL GOD, universe without end.
