I Have the Solution for Crime.

Many people confuse madness for "badness'. What we really have in society is not delinquent criminals but mad men walking the streets.

Madness not "Badness"

In society today there is an overwhelming increase in crime. Policy makers and the government seem to be suggesting more police patrols as one of the solutions to high crime rates in society.

I firmly believe they are wrong. What is needed is not more police patrols but more doctors and psychiatric nurses on patrol in the streets to carry the "crime" rate down. What is occurring on the streets and in our cities, towns and country is not crime but MADNESS. .

Madness it was when a driver over took my car when I was heading westward. It was high traffic on both lanes and he came up the east bound lane honking his horn and 'cursing' the drivers due east. He was heading west, so was I, but he chose to drive in the wrong lane. He stopped his care partially in both lanes, came out and starting telling the drivers heading east, that they were foolish. MADNESS!

Indeed it is madness not crime when a husband kills his wife and reports her missing to the police. She is dead and now he is locked up in prison leaving their children orphans. MADNESS!

Madness when a group of boys decided that they have to prove their manhood to each other by killing the first person who passes by. A human life lost and the boys still struggling with gender identity - they became boys rotting in jail. MADNESS!

Madness the way in which the murder rate is rising daily and no one seems to notice.
Madness when the hospitals in a country are inadequate to administer health care to citizens and no one seems to care. MADNESS!

Instead of police patrolling the streets we need more psychiatric doctors and nurses armed with tranquilizer guns shooting the MAD people on the streets, then taking them to a psychiatric hospital. We need more medication, more straight jackets, barbiturates, anti-depressants, and therapeutic treatment.

We do not have a crime problem...it's just MADNESS!

well, more drugs and tranquilizers are not the the solution, they are in fact a big aprt of the problem, and so is the violent relationship between the State and the citizenry.

People are not learning to add value to society. They are expecting to be served everything on a silver platter. Everyone wants the govt. to solve all their problems for them without taking the responsibility be able to add something to the relationship.

This is not to say that there is no role for the govt. to play, the govt. does serve a purpose, of course it does. But it is not and it cannot be mommy to everyone.

Be good at something, be proud. Consciousness has manifested it self in you, stand up. Embrace your ego and your individuality and determine what kind of part you are going to play. When you do that, you will attract others like this into your life, and you will begin seeing that we are the solutions we are looking for.

And these solutions do not include violence, drugs, or tranquilizers.

Thanks for your comment. The tranquilizer gun was meant to be symbolic of how we "use fire to fight fire" when we should be using water. Excellent point you made

Sadly, until we have a more equitable society, I don't see that this will change. Madness, is the top 1% having most of the wealth of this world. Everybody else lives in stress just trying to survive. No wonder so many people seem crazy. Thank you for your thought provoking article...

I do agree with the madness but we certainly do not need to go back to the days when psychiatric hospitals ruled that madness. Discipline, better laws and strict enforcement is far better. Do you have any idea what they did to people in those 'nut houses?"

How about stop subsidizing big pharma and franken-food.. so they don't make as many drugs.. and so we can have locally grown food again so people are more healthy and they are not going out of their minds.

How about building more "mad houses" to lock people in? Or maybe just take time to care for others?

i think a lot of people are dealing with bad brains because we do not have food that is nourishing. it is full of chemicals and modifications.. this causes imbalances and people are going "crazy".

RObert again you are on target...foods no longer nourishes but causes changes in our bodies resulting in illnesses such as cancers...it may well be mental illness too. What we need is the world today is more love. Love that we care more about people's health than we care about large profits. It seems like we care more about large profits so we sacrifice human health by feeding ourselves chemical that are poisonous to us. SAD indeed.
