I Passed up A Job Opportunity Today

I had an opportunity today to apply for a job , which I am certain I would have been hired for had I applied. It was a telemarketing job with JAK Productions in Parkersburg WV. I know I would have gotten the job because I know how to talk the sales pitch the way the interviewer would want it read. I've worked for telemarketing firms off and on all of my life so I could easily get through the interview.

The problem was that there was a line of people 100 feet long awaiting their turn to apply for the open positions. I couldn't stand and wait that long. If I just sat in the car waiting for the line to go down some I would have waited all day because more people kept coming. The job pays $9.50 per hour to start so it's good wages. The turn out for applications just goes to show that unemployment is still a major problem in America. I don't care what the economic experts say from behind their desks in Washington! People are still unemployed and still going hungry!

It is good to keep people up to date about our unemployment situation. I hope you were able to find work or kept the job you already had.
thanks,
Ellen

Yes I'm self-employed so I kept my regular job. I just wanted that job for extra income.

Chris- yes it seems times are getting even harder- and just to make ends meet- families have to work two or sometimes even three jobs!...I am sure when you are feeling better that you will find another opportunity...all the best and for now just keep healing and well my friend...!
