This page is about my trip to church last night, July 3, 2013 after having surgery on my back last Monday June 24, 2013. It will discuss the fact that we studied the fruits of the Spirit in Galatians 5: 22 - 23,

I went to church last night

I went to church last night. It was a real blessing to me. I had been looking forward to going all week. I rode with the pastor. The church I attended was Bethany United Methodist Church on Lynn Street in Parkersburg WV. It is just a small church. It doesn't have a huge congregation. I like small churches because you can fit in quickly with them.

Last night we studied the fruits of the Spirit. I love to study these as they let me know in a nutshell what God expects of me. He expects love, joy, peace of mind and person, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Paul goes on to say that against these things no country has passed a law. In other words if we behave in this manner we will be safe from prosecution anywhere in the world.

I really enjoyed the study last night. I was virtually pain free the whole time. I am healing well from my surgery. All I have now is some minor pain in my left leg, which usually goes away when I stand up. So I believe it has more to do with the chair I'm sitting on than the surgery on my back

Yes I love those words fom Galatians as well. If we all lived by those alone it would be a better world.

I am glad that you feeling much better from your surgery. I too enjoy small churches. I also feel that I learn more from a small church than a large church. Thank you for keeping us updated on your progress.
