Images of Then

The first two poems are reflective poems to help deal with loss in a turbulent world and to find calm in the everyday things we may see..... the third poem ends at Easter/Passover with a poem entitled, 'Promise of Light."

Images of Then

Heart bursting
with every beat
tears flowing
to thoughts of
unfilled dreams
and unsaid words
to make it right
when one has left
so early
before their nigh
with only few images
of then
to continue on
in the place of
what would be
if only..........
Echoes of Why
when a loved one
too soon dies

Amazing Grace

Suddenly I saw a swan
floating in a sea of calm
when all the world
was turbulent,
peace entered in
smooth and slow,
a ripple of grace
gliding undisturbed
reflecting beauty;
a whiter glow
chasing dismal grey
that a moment before
had keenly been so;
lending eloquence
to this wayward brook,
bringing serenity
where darkness had took
in a heart that shook
amid a bumpy sea;
Amazing grace bringing calm
to gaze in wonder; a restoring look.

Promise of Light

Easter bright light
Passover from winter's heavy white
When troubled doubts release
All constraints cease
To dissipate a profound plight
Undaunted as a fledgling in flight.
