In The Night

Just a simple vampire story I wrote back when I was still working at Blockbuster.

In The Night

My body pulses with each beat of my heart,
Even in the pitch black dark.
Flowing with beauty and swelling with life,
As you press against my chest the silver knife.
A knife to plunge me into death,
To take upon my lips one last breath.
Slowly, my eyes close as I slip
Into the arms of my sweet crypt.
My hands fold gently upon my breast,
My heart at peace within my chest.
Among the graves and all the dead,
I have gone to lay in my stone bed,
While waiting for the end of day,
For the sun to finally go away,
So that I may rise up from my tomb,
And slip so silently into your room.
Beloved revenge you shall taste,
So that you can go to your rightful place.
Take upon you my blessed spell,
Before you slip away to hell.
There you lay upon your bed,
Where I've left you dry and dead.
My blood and your blood mingles,
Every fiber of my being tingles.
New life courses through each vein,
While it washes away all the pain,
The night is my domain.

I am a stay at home mom of two, and I enjoy writing as a stress reliever. I've written a couple of short stories and I'm currently writing a book with a friend.
