A collection of sad poems for those who have suffered the loss of a special love

Is Anyone Listening?

There are times that she feels so lost
Like the world is going on without her
She feels like she doesn’t belong anywhere
And she is no longer a part of anything anymore

Her heart holds so much unbearable pain
And her memories are no longer her friend
They haunt her
And the rawness of it all never ends

She carries such heavy secrets
Their weight crushes her soul
Inner peace disguises itself
And she can’t escape this perpetual prison of silence

They all flock to her
To tell their stories and share their grief
And she finds herself thinking…..what about me?
When is it my turn to tell my story?
For someone to finally listen
Like I have done a thousand times or more

She feels so alone
Her emotional strength leaving
Will anyone notice its slow demise?
She is screaming inside of herself
And once again, she is the only one listening
