There is much talk about military retirements and there are rumors the system will be changed. Are they true?

Military Pensions

Are military retirements being reduced by President Obama? How dare we do this to our troops? Have you ever heard or said that?

I served for 28 years in the Marine Corps and Air Force. And, although I think President Obama is the worst president in the past 80 years it's time to set the record straight.

The military has experienced the most unprecedented increase in pay and benefits in the last 13 years. If we were to continue to do the same for the next 15 years, the current military budget would mathematically be only for personnel.

There would be no weapons money and we would be forced to close more bases, decommission more ships and dismantle more weapon systems. It's a the the math. Something's got to change.

I had dinner the other night with a very high ranking Pentagon authority and he verified that there are ZERO discussions going on regarding changing the retirement of those who are serving of those who have retired. Our nation has always grandfathered those categories every time it has changed.

Close More Bases, Decommission More Ships, Dismantle More Weapon Systems, Obama, Pensions, Retirements

My son is in the military and I will say they are well paid, there is no reason he should not be saving some of the money he is making, after all his room and board (on a ship) are paid for too!
However I disagree with Obama being the worst, in my opinion that was Bush, but Obama has been disappointing too, due to ties with wealthy banks and such, rather than big oil, but it is all the same...

We greatly differ...George W. Bush will go down in history as being one of the best. I retired 20 days before the Socialist took office so George W. would be the signature on my retirement certificate. Obama is teaching people to rely upon government handouts and is the most divisive president in history who has lied repeatedly...and yet the lemings continue to follow blindly. He has victimized the poor.
