Love is a natural phenomenon and has its way of affording parties involved a unique way to air their feelings. The man from Africa is proposing marriage to a daughter of the president of the United States mainly through the media and the internet. What will the US first family say of this move?

A wish he kept to himself for 7 years

Seven years ago in 2008, a man from Kenya dreamed of becoming US President Barack Obama’s son-in-law. He caught a glimpse of the first daughter Malia Obama when she was but 10 years of age while Pres. Obama was running for the office of the presidency for the first time in 2008. He promised to have her in marriage some day, the Nairobian newspaper said

The Kenyan Man is ready anytime with the dowry

The Kenyan man, Felix Kiprono, a lawyer, kept his faithfulness to her, dating nobody ever since. He shared to his family his noble intention and they understand and are willing and ready to help him put up the bride price, Kiprono said.
Young Felix Kiprono has offered Pres. Obama 50 cows, 70 sheeps and 30 goats in exchange for his 16-year old daughter Malia's hand in marriage, a report said Tuesday.

Formal offer to marry would be lodged if Malia joins his Father's visit

Pres. Obama’s father came from and was born in Kenya, and the president is slated to pay his first homage to the place by July. Hoping the president brings Malia with him, Kiprono intends to formally offers his marriage proposal to the 16-year old first daughter through Pres. Obama.
The wacky bridegroom-to-be has sent a message to the president asking him to please let Malia join him in the trip,he said.
In her early 90s, Obama's Kenyan grandmother still lives in Kogelo, in western Kenya, also a home to a number of the president's relatives.

Atty. Kiprono promised true love and a simple life for them

Kiprono brushed aside the rumor that he might be after the first family’s fortune. He insisted his love is real.
The bridegroom whose age wasn’t disclosed said the wedding reception would happen on a hill near his rural village, and ‘mursik’ a traditional sour milk would take the place of champagne.
Atty.Kiprono promised Malia Obama and him ‘a simple life,’ teaching Malia how to prepare mursik, cook corn porridge called ugali and how to milk a cow, which are tasks done by any native Kalenjin woman, he said.

I have a daughter the same age as Malia is now and would not be impressed if any man talks about marriage to her at her age/stage.
