My own thoughts on the arguments of which are the better deivers, male or female.

Lady Drivers ?

We keep getting told that females on the whole are better drivers than the males. Well having worked for the RAC foe 12 years and the AA for 4 years, both good British breakdown services, I learnt a lot about the folks who drove cars. Dealing with both men and ladies I picked up information concerning them.

Not all people from any sex know how an engine works, how to service a car and know where the oil and water goes. But I did learn that in most cases that men most of the time new more about their cars than the ladies did. For example I once caught a lady trying to put engine oil in the car via the hole that the dipstick is placed. Another time I caught a lady putting water into the engine where it is obvious that the engine oil goes. The percentage of ladies that will be able to service their own cars is far less than that of men.

In my eyes good driving includes knowing your car, when you drive both person and car should be in unison with each other, if you don`t know the functions of most of the car you are driving then to me you are not a good driver. Alas the ladies keep harping on how good they are, but I think they fall short on knowledge and understanding.

Comment :-- " I bet that no government has taken these factors into consideration !"

Traditionally the jobs that involved knowing how things work, like mechanics, have usually went to men. Women were just
not encouraged to develope interests
in those directions.
That is the reason, nothing else.
