We travel through life holding tight to our past. These experiences may have had a purpose at one point and have shaped who we are, how we feel, but there comes a time when you have to let go. A clean slate, just like the freshly fallen snow, you are free to create new path.

Little bird

Safe in the arms of an old oak tree,
little bird knew not of the world to be.
How did he get here, how did he fall,
Here on there earth feeling so small.

Restlessly wandering through the snow,
little broken bird had no place left to go.

Trails in the snow of where he'd been,
just a reminder of what he'd seen.

Broken little bird, falls to the ground,
Left with the thought, no hope can be found.

Sleep now little bird its time to let go,
I'll wipe all footprints from the snow,
Open your eyes and you will see,
My love for you will set you free.

Unless forced to, we tend to cling to the beaten path. A nice share, Margaret, thanks - siva
