A cat and mouse story where the mouse survives the cat written in the form of a 100 word Drabble

Live Another Day

Socks the white pawed cat, hunting through that long waltzing grass of her domain, searching for that illusive hunger solving meal, through rut and root, grass and weed she hunted, till the evening drew in and the light was getting poor, but with green eyes widening she spots her prey, dashing left, diving right pawing at the tail of a cute little mouse, her prey was sharp and nimble, under a rock that cute little mouse dives, socks delves deep but her prize was out of reach, as socks gives up her looks averted, that cute mouse lives another day.

I am also a cat lover, I would rather open a tin for them, but we can't interfere with nature can we,

I have seven indoor cats Martin and any field mice that find their way into their castle doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of surviving to fight another day.

Although I must say, that a cat can scarcely be
expected to live off mice.
Open a tin of catfood.
