Living Alone in My Little Blue Home...Going Crazy

Ever feel like you are losing it? Falling off the edge? That the men in white suits are coming to take you away ha ha. Well so do I and this is how it feels.

Living Alone in My Little Blue Home

Living Alone in My Little Blue Home

I live a simple life
mostly,

home alone
from the bullets
and the jungle,
completely indulged
within my own illusions,
my own fantasies

and my own busy
little fingers
with their puppets on.

You See In Here

You see in here
we are stimulated
by the steam
escaping
above the rim
of my favorite coffee cup.
The one I rescued
from the house on Belmont
however chipped and cracked
it may be,

sacred
from the older days,
but mine
just the same

I say.
Mine just the same!

So Here We Sit

So here we sit
content
within these
hallowed halls
and wooded walls
I have constructed
of my own hand,
my own mind,

sitting, like a child
wrapped warm and comfy
in my blue flannel
security blanket,
the one
with a button
on top.

Inside the Tent

You see in here,
inside this tent
I have no need
of telephones
or I-Phones
casual conversations,

silly words
printed on my day

in an effort
to steal me away.

In My blue Silence

In here,
In my blue silence
I exist only
within my cryptic
communion

and my trusty
13 inch
black and white television set

nailed to the wall
and inverted
below its silver ears.

A Break Through

You see,
we have had
a break through,
you and I,
as I have come
to believe
that the people
in there,
the little ones

behind the screen,

are my friends
and I take great comfort
in that.

I have been writing since the beginning of time it seems, not because I want to write, but because I have too. My favorite form of writing is poetry, all kinds and types of poetry.

Hi Utah, I'm so pleased that you choose to share your talent here. I often feel that way too. The song 'They're coming to take me away ha ha" has sad memories of me.

Utah, I absolutely love this! I think it's my favorite piece by you. The pictures are great. The more I read the more it brought to mind the fact that we are definitely creatures of comfort. We love our favorite cups, blankets, remote controls, TV shows and Wikinut. Oh and I can't forget all our friends. Blessings to you today and always.

Emotional. I wish I had a 'blue world' like you. No worries...I will soon construct one. And by the way, blue is my fav color.
Lively description...I must say.You have won my heart. Congrats!!!

this reminds me of Those times when the past almost seems to be the perfect moments in your whole lifetime and you wish you could just go back to it all.

Poetry is at its best when it comes straight from one's heart or from one's experience. So is your poetry.I admire your thoughts. However, if you stick to one of the recognised formats you would get more wows.

I love this poem. So beautiful, poignant, as I read I felt a calm, I think I also felt a little nostalgia reading this. Thank you for inspiring me.

Please forgive me for not being here these last few days as my computer sucks and I have no patience for such things. I am the kind of guy who would just as well through the thing out of the window, but then what would I do. Oh Carol, I wish there was something I could say to make all the pain in your life go away, that I could click my fingers and make it all better. The only thing I know for certain is that time and our Father in Heaven are the great healers so just breathe in deeply and say a prayer. Ask God to see you through these hard times and to ease your mind and in time all will be well. Ask Him in faith to come into your life, tell Him your sorrows and give Him your pain. He knows you Carol, and He loves you. He is waiting for you to come to Him for He loves all of His children and He wants all of His children to Love Him. My thoughts and prayers are with you Carol. So when the darkness comes just remember that there is this old man in Utah who truly cares about you, so put a smile in your heart and let it be your pillow.

Utah, I'm sorry about your computer. I had to get a new computer because mine froze up one day and that was it. I've been through at least 3 computers. I've written so many stories and articles and had them published that I seriously wore the letters off my keyboard. Now I bought another keyboard and use it so I won't ruin the keyboard on my new computer. I did miss you and I'm glad you are back.

Thank you so much GV, but what do you mean by recognized forms. Forms of poetry, or of prose and wikinut. As for me, what I write is not, or was never meant to be poetry, that is just where people put me when the read my thoughts, as I am a writer of thoughts. As for sonnets and the like. I really haven't much use for them. They seem to have a way of twisting all the feeling out in their metered and measured foot prints, which is not to say that I do not write them or learn from the practice. I just don't like to use them so much in public.
