Lonely Girl This poem was inspired by a poet who claims her child is not her own

Lonely Girl

Lonely Girl

I read a great deal of loneliness and concern
as in the western world, kids are free at 18,
so it seems, we have just come to sow a field,
a green pea
She has and as she grows beyond redemption
we all but let her go
and upon her beauty glow
but sad to say these days,
it does often happen,
just for the sake of a guy’s love truly mistaken
she is left with a kitty in her cage....

but sad to say
no love, no hatred, no pacification can erase
her love from a premature craze
this alone do me really amaze

O gal why did you not listen
as often to me
and
now you face a music, which is melodious only to thee,

my child stays abreast
the world is not as twas yesterday,
today we have guys, who only bask in the glory of your love play,
as they wear a mask, no love do they truly display
as they move on to another pasture away,
many exist in the forest of love
and get crushed day after day
how many of you can from this fire stay away?
no one has, nor can ever say

Let your suffering also pass away
I can now for you only pray!!!

Now it is more of instant gratification - enjoy, discard, forget!

Indian weddings were more of family union that remained lifelong, but the young have moved on with family denoting couple and children.

Social media updates are dead giveaways of modern lifestyle - single, attached, married, and then single, ready again to mingle! siva

I was going to say something very similar about instant gratification of impulses.
As D H Lawrence, writing in the 1930s put it, "Humankind needs to get back in touch with the rhythms of the universe."

Insightful poem, someone had already said most of what I was going to say. :-)

Your saying in your own words..
will lend beauty to the Rose..
all adorn ..
even forlorn...
