Lonely November

A poem of November, a broody month full of longings and memories...

Winter Blue

A golden sun dances on the sea
Icy and foreboding.
The bold blue of day
Now grows cold and distant.

Lonely, lonely November…

First Snow

A pale girth of clouds,
Heavy with snow.
A white shroud
Hangs above a barren earth.
Tenderly the frozen sky embraces
The tundra.

Lonely, lonely November…

.

Winds of Winter

The raw winds
Of a slate-gray sky
Cross the bare branches of the sturdy oak.
A gale, and a fierce winter cry
Tossed on ocean's waves.

Lonely, lonely November…

Delicia, you and Mike should produce a book of your combined efforts, they are stunning. As always, love this. Hey, it's Spring here in New Zealand :-)

You are truly a treasure Delicia. You can paint great works of art that supercede any masterpiece and do it with words. Outstanding, as always.

I felt I was right there, Delicia.
Your poetry transports me. I so much want to go back to Devon and the White Cliffs of Dover. So pleased you are on my page.
