Love & Loneliness

At times, the only comfort in loneliness is to express the grief and desire for a flight of the soul.

Alone

Oh love where have thou gone
My eyes are tired of tears to the night
I miss your touch against mine
The emptiness in the shadows
Is not comforting in the cold summer nights

My bed is loneliness in a room of embrace
My eyes look on to the picture starring back at me
But never to near for me to touch

If the wind those call
I will jump into the empty air
For your love to catch me
Before the fall

For the heart has laid to rest
The last beat of ache
Deep inside its broken gate
To hold on to its soul mate

Trapped in a distant flame
Unable to break free from it realm
Now I break free and fly to you in an ashy spree
For love without you, I am a naked tree
Without my leave to feed me
Then I wish nothing more than to shrivel and die free
Inside your arms for my last embrace
The soothing cold comforting ground
To lay to rest

For later a sprout to spring
With two leafs breathing life to its birthing.
