Chapter 1

It’s a week before their wedding day and Hope and Rafe are relaxing at Doug’s Place for dinner with her father, Bill, and Julie.
“Rafe, I want you to know how happy I am for you.” Doug tells Rafe his approval to marry his daughter, Hope.
Rafe, despite being blissfully in love with Hope, is feeling a twinge of guilt as he reflects back on his night with Sami when he and Hope called off their engagement. Should he tell Hope the truth or keep quiet?
With Doug singing Rafe’s praises, Rafe doesn’t get the chance to confess his indiscretion.
Back in L.A., Sami is out with her children, Johnny, Sydney, and Ali, spending the day with them. it is going well when Sydney spies the paddle boats that makes her think of Rafe and their time on the run when she was in the safe house.
It was at that moment, that she realized she was in still in love with Rafe Hernandez. Then she suddenly felt nauseous as she looked for a place to throw up.
“Mommy, are you okay?” Ali asked when she noticed that her mother looked a little green.
“I’m fine, honey.” Sami told Ali as Johnny and Sydney began to worry about their mother too.
“Hey, why don’t we go eat at Gino’s!” Sami suggested to Johnny, Sydney and Ali, their favorite restaurant.
As Sami’s children ran to the car, Sami called her doctor to make an appointment, who said she was free the next day for an appointment.

Chapter 2

Sami waited in the doctor’s office after the doctor examined her. The doctor said it would only be an half hour for the results of her pregnancy test, but it seemed more like hours.
The doctor finally came back with the results of Sami’s test and confirmed what Sami already knew: she was pregnant—with Rafe’s baby.
When she picked up Johnny, Ali and Sydney at their school, she revealed to them that they were going back to Salem to see their family.
As the children screamed with glee, Sami wondered what Rafe would do about her news?
Meanwhile, back in Salem, Hope was out shopping with Jennifer as she prepared for her big day in a few days.
“I’m so glad you and Rafe are getting married.” Jennifer told her cousin.
“Yeah. It took a while, but we made it.” Hope said as she reminisced on her journey of romance with Rafe.
“Yes, first Aiden, then Bo…it’s a wonder you made it at all.” Jennifer said.
“But the point is…we did…and all is going to be okay.” Hope said as she and Jennifer toasted to the wedding, as Rafe and Eric came up to join them.
“Is this a private affair, or can anyone join?” Eric said as he sat down next to Jennifer.
“Well, we’ll make an exception for the two of you.” Jennifer said to Eric, who kissed her on the lips.
Rafe sat down next to his fiancée and held her hand under the table as they both smiled at each other.
