The poem is about a man who has met the love of his life, a vampire who has come only to kill him.

Love

She was sent from up above,
A sweet compassionate sort of love,
To bring peace to my raging heart,
And lead me out of the lonely dark.
With soft and beautifully lips of red,
Her heart beat is dead,
For here she exist only to feed,
To hear her victim cry and plead,
While screaming out into the night,
She takes their life by candle light.
Her long rippling hair her veil,
As she sends her victims to set sail,
On their journey to the underworld,
Her desires slowly unfold.
Her dark eyes meet mine,
Death to me is all but fine,
For I have lived so very long,
In hopes of finding a place where I belong.
Now I know my place is here with her,
My forgotten emotions begin to stir.
Oh, sweet passionate love,
A gift sent to me from the heavens above,
To hold to me as she takes a bite,
Her passion drawing out my very life.
Hold me as I slip away,
There is nothing more that I can say,
For all I've wished for has come to be,
I have loved though it did kill me.
